A - Pours a dark molasses under a foamy finger of yellow tan head. Decent streaks of lacing adorn the glass.
S - Big notes of prune, raisin, red grape and spice. A hint of chocolate, clove and fig. Very fruity.
T - Prune is dominant. Booze is prominent. Backing features olive leaf extract, clove, cinnamon, dried dark fruit, plum, cola. Missing some breadiness for my liking, a quite boozy.
M - Medium bodied. Sticky. Moderate carbonation. Nice complexity.
O - Just doesn't hit the home run for me. Perhaps the absence of some grain or bread malt results in the lack of balance I am feeling here.
