Vintage 2007. Nearly black in color, tan active head. Darker than I expect. I'm intrigued. Smells of spices, carob, dark malt, and a floral hop. Again, not what I expected and very interesting. Taste is intense, plums, fruitcake, graham crackers, Wow! I have no more description than "freakin' good". The mouthfeel is assertive carbonation against a velvet soft background. This just keeps getting better. Drinkability is fantastic. The alcohol is well hidden and the flavors are a terrific balance of sharp and soft, sweet and dry, crisp and malty. Not the most complicated flavor but certainly one of the best. Very, very, very good. Get it if you can.
