330ml 2008 bottle poured into tulip 7/10/13, cheers MasterSki and Sean9689 for the bottle

A slow gusher but time enough to get it all in your glass, murky as hell caramel brown, some ufo's and plenty of yeasty sediment and still plenty of bubbles feeding a large short lived tan foam that has little specks throughout

S caramel, nutmeg, faint booze, yeast and bread, brown sugar and a little anise

T a hint of dried banana chips and more spice then the nose, some earthy notes and slightly more booze then the nose but still a well hidden 10%

M a little syrupy and very sticky on the lips, I can see the bubbles but it feels flat in the mouth, fruity spice lingers

O solid brew and its mellowed out nicely, a nice blend of sugars, spice, and bread

I'd like to try a fresh bottle as I'm guessing this one might have peaked already, I'm looking forward to the newer BB aged version I have waiting on deck.

I am covered in it
I opened it and it exploded, so much for careful pouring of bottle conditioned beer.

A handsome brownish amber body with good white head with staying power

Gorgeous aromas too much to pin down, mulled wine, peaches, caramel and angel tears

Rich deep boozy taste with malts and spice it's almost like a really fancy rum

Solid mouthfeel, you know you are drinking a big hitter though there most be something awry with the carbonation for me to be covered with the stuff

I bet this is a bit inconsistent
however I am drinking legendary stuff here

2009 Bottle into Tremens tulip

A- deep amber with 1 finger head
S- funky, malty, bready, anise. Earthy, celeriac, malt.
T- awesome Belgian dubbel, tastes like a quad... Coriander, belgian yeast, sweet malt, sourness , metallic iron...
M- medium to full. Coats well and lingers long.
O- delicious. Nose is deceptive. Taste is remarkable. No alcohol presence whatsoever. Love what destruisse has to offer overall and this is a great treat. Reminds me so much of their neighbor in westvleteren just a few K away. Grab if you have the opportunity. DeS is so small we are lucky to have any in the US. Those in the know should be all over DeStruisse...Pannepot anyone? Miss my time there
