Poured a brown body with minimal head and lace.
Aroma is mostly comprised of dark fruits with raisins and figs coming to the forefront along with some sugary sweetness.
Smooth, medium bodied, the beer has a sugary sweetness to it that is a little stronger than found in Quads (no complaint from me). The raisins/figs/dark fruit tastes are there as well and it's a well-balanced and easy drinking beer that hides the ABV.
Maybe a tad too sweet or simplistic for some people but it hit the spot for me.

2013 vintage.
Dark brown, half finger beige head lasting quite a while.
Not a strong smell, some plum, berry, a bit of booze, cocoa powder, caramel, faint toasted malt, some oak, faint light coffee.
In contrast, the taste actually screams. Big boozy sweet berries up front with a bit of raisin and juicy plum, quite zingy, keeping the malts from getting too dense. Still there's some caramel and toffee, a kind of marshmallow sweetness. Sweet cake dough, topped with a bit of dark chocolate, splashed with a bit of rum, with yeasts bringing forth lots of nice spices, dusty cinnamon, faint nutmeg, some clove, but also some prickly pepper and ginger. Barrel, toasted oak chips and alcoholic dryness in the finish.
Spices and alcohol (Bourbon whiskey, but not that clear) in the aftertaste. Not really smooth, way too light, with a medium prickly fizz. Booze keeps this one on a sipping beer level tho.
Maybe having Cuvee Delphine and other De Struise heavies before this one counts too, but still, i'm a bit disappointed. A good quad, but not amongst the best. Aging might help.

Dark, hazy pour with almost no foam. Huge strawberry smell with faint traces of alcohol. Somewhat chick and creamy texture, tastes like strawberry and honey with a not-so-subtle alcohol finish.

Dark mahogny, hazy beer with a two finger high, beige head.

Nose: Yeast, banana, alcohol, dried fruit, caramel and plums - very pleasent indeed!

Taste: Red berries, plum, malt, spice, oak and raisin.

Mouth: Round, creamy mouthfeel with a small but right carbonation.

Overall: This is a beauty! Well balanced, creamy, full body, "grown up" beer.
If you haven't tried this, now you have a goal in life!
