Large wine and spirits store in the heart of historic Annapolis. Great selection of wine and liquor, modest selection on beer but that said some decent options.

2021 edit (long overdue - I've been a regular here for year at this point): Staff is very friendly and helpful. Weekly beer tastings, which have of course unfortunately been on pause during COVID. Surprisingly, the mixed-six price of $9.99 hasn't gone up in the last 6 years.
Mills doesn't have the biggest selection or the best prices, but they do have a number of interesting Belgian and German beers. I think I figured out their pricing scheme: prices are a bit high because tourists aren't going to care, but they do have a loyalty club that's free to join and gets you 10% off your purchase every time. Oh, and their mix-sixers still are just $9.99 with a pretty decent selection.

Primarily a wine/liquor store. But there is an impressive selection of crafts and a very friendly and knowledgable staff to help you out.

Judging by the reviews on here, this place is much, much, much, much, much, much better than it used to be in terms of beer.
Atmosphere: Right near the pier in one of the most beautiful Mid-Atlantic towns that exists. Seriously great in that regard. This is a big store and has windows that one can look in and see lots of tons and tons of glass bottles under basic observation. I read in previous reviews that this is more of a wine store. While this is certainly true, the beer is catching up quickly. Pretty large selection here.
Quality and service: I saw quite a few dusty bottles, but many of them were stouts and lambics so I didn't mind. A dusty 2012 6-pack of Bigfoot? I'll take it. The guy running the register couldn't have been nicer. My wife and I were in Annapolis soaking to shop, eat, see the campus, and soak up the sun, and he offered to hold our purchases for the entire day while we did all this stuff. Classy.
Selection: I particularly love the sale rack, which had lots of gems. Most breweries available in Maryland are represented and they have a mix and match 6er section which is always nice.
Value: I bought a Boulevard Love Child #3 for $9.99. Any questions?

Took a quick walk from Rams Head Tavern to here. This is a wine store first (as the previous review states).
The outside makes it look like a pricey store, but the prices are pretty reasonable. The beer selection is in the back right corner and is not very big. But the selection makes up for the lack of size. They offer a mix-a-six for about $10. Almost all of their 12 oz. bottles are offered in the mix. They have locals (Clipper City, Fordham, Old Dominion, Flying Dog) as well as others (Full Sail, Smuttynose, Victory). They have a nice shelf with bombers. I saw a bottle of Stone/Victory/DogFish Head Saison du Buff. They other thing that was pretty cool was that they had a gift pack of Troegs Mad Elf, a HUGE bottle of Chimay Blue, and a HUGE bottle of St. Bernardus.
There wasn't much help offered to me, but my cousin was helped a lot in the wine section.
Like I said, this looks like a pricey place and it's definitely a wine store first. Once you get to the beer, it's a decent place. I would go back for the mix-a-six selection.

Stopped by here for a quick shop when the wife and I were here for the day.
This is a wine shop first and a beer shop second. While the past review on here was negative I was quite impressed with it. A nice selection of regional brews, european brews, and some limited run things. They have a large mix a six section with 6pks going for $9.99.
Was asked if we needed help once and they were more than willing to look around to help us. At the end of our time there they thanked us and asked if we needed help outside.
I found the prices to be very reasonable and the mixed six price was well worth what I saw.
Overall when I go back to Maryland I will be stopping back here. From the last review I would say this place has gotten a lot more to it than it had.

The selection here has gotten to be so poor that I have stopped bothering to check in. A year ago Mills was a destination when shopping in the historic district but now I head up the road to Bay Ridge instead. Previously they would have nice things from Anderson Valley, and special Dogfish Head releases like Raison d'Extra and Fort. Now they don't carry much of any of that. I called to ask if they could get Golden Era last summer and they told me I would have to buy a whole case because they didn't want to stock it. I guess it would have impeded on Bud Ice's cooler space. When I called to find out if they could get Utopias no one had heard of it, which goes to show just how much they care about their beer selection. They enjoy being a high end wine shop and apparently have decided that beer isn't worth their time.
