I poured this into an American pint glass, it poured a cloudy yellow gold color. There was a huge amount of sediment in this beer which was floating around all over the place after the pour. The smell of citrus was incredibly strong along with the yeast. There was a slight sour taste towards the end when drinking. But for me there was just way too much carbonation in this beer, it felt like I was drinking a sparkling cider.

Drinkability is ok... could work nicely with an order of hot wings.

12 ounce can, without freshness/canning date info.

The poor is hazed medium tangerine, fine bubble off white head, leaves some fine lacing on the glass.

Sniff reveals just some faint wheat malts, and a very faint fruitiness.

Slight drying in the finish. Forgettable little brew, would be decent on a very hot summer day with a light lunch. Besides that situation not much chance I would go for this one again

Fruity malty nose, some spice, orange
Hazy gold, 2” off white head dissipates to a film
Palate: a mixed bag blend of Kolsch and Belgian Wit that gets confusing. Has the orange and coriander but not the yeast character of the Wit, has a hint of Kolsch yeast, and enough wheat to evoke an American wheat ale but the result does too little with too much.
Medium to a little above on the carbonation, medium body.

Slightly hazed body, eggshell white head forms a cloudy three fingers worth with fine even lacing. Aroma has a nice sharp wheat and citrus combo with very mild spice additions, limited coriander which is usually a good thing for my palate. Flavor wise there's some biscuit bread dough layers with a very chalky yeast in the finish, slight hint of citrus peel and coriander with a relatively lackluster overall flavor. Carbonation is light, not much on the palate as far as textures go but still not a horrible beer, under 4.5% it's light and refreshing and keeps you wanting to experience the next sip. It has a trademark Atwater characteristic it misses the mark on the style and ends in a generic watered down version of a witbier, I appreciate it for what it is but can't really look at this as a beer I want to keep buying.

Atwater- Dirty Blonde

A- Light pale yellow with a small filmy head. No lacing.
S- Faint lemon and orange. Touch of honey and grass.
T-Light sweet honey and orange tainted wheat. Light grainy malt body.
M- Very light and watery. Sweet honey throughout. Finishes off malty.

Overall- Weak and watery but easy to drink and slightly refreshing on a hot day.

Cold 12 oz bottle poured into 20oz pint glass. Beer pours like soda, with giant bubbles, forming no head. Beer is very pale and slightly clouded.

First sip is refreshing...like water. Bland, bland, bland. fizzy, then nothing. There's a slight citrus/spice/irrelevant note. A bad beer.

12oz bottle into standard pint glass. July 2010 bottling.

A: The body looks a bit light and has a clear starw hue to it. The head sinks fast and has a foamy look to it. The carbonation level seems to be out the roof.

S: The aroma is a bit low on the intensity aspect and has a touch of grass and straw character. Nothing exceeding average.

T/M: The upfront taste is lemon bitterness and that is unrefined and not balanced. The lemon is very artifical tasting and does not tend to mesh well with the high level of carbonation. Together there is a lemon soda element, that is not too pleasing. Hop character is minimal at best and the body is very thin.

O: Overall I feel that this brew falls short of style and does not represent a refreshing summer ale very well. The main concern I have is the astrigent lemon aspect and the high level of carbonation that gives a soda sensation. This is a slightly older bottle that a friend gave me, which they are still selling in store, past prime, but still on the market (maybe it should'nt be sold this far past bottling).

Trying the Dirty Blonde...that's how I like my blondes!!! Anyway...the beer pours a cloudy yellow with thin white head that is not lacing. The smell includes orange zest and floralness. The taste carries much the same as the smell but has a nice wheat base to it. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with decent carbonation. Overall it isnt a bad beer.
