I stopped in here with a friend after a couple days backpacking in the Shining Rock Wilderness. We were very ready for beer and pizza when we left the trail :)

When you walk in there is a large room that appears to be trying to copy the Chili's vibe, lots of old advertising signs and other random stuff on the walls. There is a counter/bar in the back that seats about 10 people.

We were seated and the server came over pretty quickly. We asked about a beer list and he said they change the beers so often that there is not a list. Um, okay, "what pale ale/IPAs do you have?" He ran through the list without too much difficulty and we both went with a "Big Hoppy Monster" from Terrapin. I looked on my phone to see if I had reviewed it before and BeerAdvocate says it is retired, the most recent review is from the beginning of this year (10 months ago). Has this been sitting in the back for a year? It tasted fine, but I am curious. Our 2nd beer was a Sierra Nevada Narwhal, no complaints other than it was served in a weird glass.

We split a large pizza that was very good, nice toppings, good crust. We both would order it again. The old guy at the next table had what looked like a patty melt. It looked delicious but that may have been trail hunger talking :)

In the end, nothing magical, just good beer and good pizza.

TL;DR good selection of beer, good pizza, looks like good burgers. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Nick and Nate's is a delightful find in downtown Waynesville, NC. They feature a good selection of pizzas and sandwiches, including a pretty good reuben.

The beer selection is very good. Don't recall seeing any BMC on the menu. Nice selection of craft bottles and with only one exception, the on-tap selection was made up of local breweries.

The waitress was very knowledgeable and made recommendations for food pairings.

All in all, a pleasant experience at a good price. The only thing that I found unusual was that they were closed on Tuesday. Perhaps that changes during the Summer when the community is a little more lively. Be sure to check the website for the hours. Will definitely be back.

A nice find in the small town of Waynesville. A nice family place. They have 15 taps which highlight regional beers, Highland, Appalachian, Nantahala. They also had some New Belgian, Lost Coast, Laughing Skull and Terrapin. Only macro on tap was Shock Top. Even a bigger bottle selection with about 30 of them. You won't find anything too extreme here as they try to appeal more to the mainstream. But their selection is solid nonetheless. Though they did have Stone AB. And at $4 a pint their drafts are very reasonable.

Everyone had pizza and salad which were very good. Also had subs and your typical pizzeria food.

A nice place to get some decent beer and food, well worth checking out if you are in beautiful downtown Waynesville.

I was totally sup[rised to stumple upon this place on my way up to get my xmas tree yesterday. My son wanted pizza so I stopped in, not knowing they even had beer. Not a bad selection, I mean you have to look at where this place is. It is in the middle of Waynesville on Moan st and the pizza was great. They had about 5 taps all locals and about 15 bottled selection that ranged from highland and terrapin to Avery and great divide, really a very nice selection. For being in the middle of Waynesville, to be honest this place was pretty darn good and I would defintly stop in again.

As mentioned before me, this place is easy to find in downtown Waynesville. It is one large room, with a bar at the back. The decor seems a bit odd, as it looked to be a lot of antique farm equipment, and pictures. Don't forget to grab a bucket of peanuts by the front door to munch on while you wait. 12 beers were featured on tap, and they appeared to be mostly local. I say appeared because the names of the beers were listed, but not the brewery. I also counted about 15 different bottle selections. No BMC to be found at all here. The waitress did help me out when I asked about one in particular. Our service was good, and so was the pizza. Prices were reasonable. Worth a stop if in Waynesville.

Nick and Nate's is a breeze to find on Main St. in Historic Waynesville. The place is actually one large room with both smoking and non-smoking in close proximity, but it never became a problem. The bar is a bit odd. It is table height and is long and square.

The drafts reside on the back wall and the place doesn't have anything but craft brews to offer on the 12 drafts. I counted 14 bottles and they all were also craft selections. Most of the offerings came from NC, GA or SC.

The service was quick and attentive and overall did a good job. The food was good, bordering on being better than good. With reasonable prices and craft offerings you can be sure I would return if back on Main Street.
