Coming to a red-bricked building, you see red boxing gloves and then Bruisin' Ales has its logo above. I walked in to be helped immediately! Mike was the manager who helped me twice (coming back here a second time because of such a great experience). It was an easy going place, tons of cider upon walking in by the check out desk and then 3 stools next to a bar to do some sampling. Everything VERY organized and well lit.

Quality was fantastic! Everything had good dates, extremely organized by brewery, and also clean.

Mike not only helped me picking out many beers that I was looking for but did a trade with what I brought into the store from Missouri. We also had a tasting of a Duck Rabbit Porter (on him) and this was extremely nice. Will be keeping in touch to do more trades! Thats customer service.

The selection was UNREAL! Over a hundred beers were represented and if there wasn't something you were looking for, they could order it for you. Everything was priced just fine and what I was expecting.

I recommend you coming here because of both their selection and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can't pass over this if in Asheville!

Came in to grab some beers to take back home and the Guy checking out everyone was a total douche. Asked a question about a beer and he acted like it pained him to answer.. Selection is ok, somewhat small. I'm going to try app vintners instead today.

Pretentious atmosphere, tried to get a workers attention but he was posted up flirting with some girl. Prices are also more expensive than other stores around. Did not feel I was "worthy" to be in their presence. Appalachian Vintner was much friendlier and cool.

Great location but overpriced and the staff was not very friendly. They have a lot of bottles but the store is very small so it gets crowded fast. Prices are a few dollars more than the other large bottle shop in town.

The selection was alright, it was a small place and a pain in the ass to find parking. I have had people tell me for ages about how great this place is. I wasn't all that impressed. I know of two stores that have a much better selection and are not all that much bigger. One is Peabody's in Boone and the other is Sam's Quick Shop in Durham. Overall, if I was in Asheville staying downtown and needed some beer for the room, then I would go here, but, I wouldn't go out of my way. Unless I missed some other room full of beer. I asked for a few things I figured would be hard to find and they didn't have them. I found the same beer I was looking for down the road at Appalachian Vintner.
