look: 3.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Amber-hued, hazy and layered with an ultra-thin, near white head.
Smell: Fresh fruit compote sprinkled with a little table sugar, rising notes of orchard fruits, plums, raisins, orange peel. Caramel-dunked bready maltiness. Modestly spicy; the aroma is mainly sweet-scented fruitiness.
Taste: Chiefly, it's caramelly. Bready malts. Dried, peppery florals, varied spiciness. It remains fruity amidst the spiciness, hinting plums, citrus, and peach. The initial sweetness does pop back in here and there until you approach the drying, fruity, lightly spicy finish. The light spice lingers into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Another good saison from Crawford "Saisons" Moran!
Serving type: on-tap
