At the brewpub with Crawford. More chocolate, more bubbles in head. Dark brown body. Roasted aroma of course. Well hopped and added in later as well.I get chocolate at the end.I did not catch so much expresso. Smooth ride but I do prefer less hop and expresso.

Appearance: Pours an opaque black body with a lush, dense, inch-high dark tan head.
Smell: Roasted malt aroma with full notes of fire-scorched grains reminiscient of French Roast coffee.
Taste: Creamy dark chocolate and rich mocha with an everso subtle sweetness. Very faroff hint of oven-roasted fruit. Burnt grain flavor with plenty roasty bitterness. The bitterness eases up somewhat for a smooth, roasty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Low carbonation. Incredibly creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Tasty, sure, but it's that smooth, creamy mouthfeel that really sells me!
