Sampled this beer on May 25, 2009, on-tap in a half-pint glass:

The waitress stated that the beer had an ABV of 13% and after the half-pint, I could definitely feel it.

The beer appeared a very nice golden, looked more like apple juice than anything. No noticeable carbonation, which was disappointing, and there was no head on the beer at all, again very much unexpected. This may have been due to the pour, but still, this is a place that specializes in beer and I would hope that the wait staff can correctly pour a beer.

The aroma of the beer was good, but a little lighter than expected. The aroma was yeasty and malty with a hint of the alcohol and a touch of sweetness. No real spices or complexity to the aroma, but better than average.

The taste was good, a little stronger than the aroma led on. It followed the nose really well but was more sweet with a shot of bitterness with the alcohol firmly present. No real spice to mention, but the flavor was well done.

The beer had a medium body to it, bordering on heavy and/or thick. The beer was slightly too thick, almost like syrup. There was a hint of carbonation, but very light. This was by far the worst feature of the beer.

As for Drinkability, it suffers from the high alcohol content and the feel of the beer, but overall, slightly better drinkability than average as I would be willing to give the beer another shot. This is a good attempt, but I think that they can do better.
