Review: Bottle of Lucifer Beer: ABV: 8.00%
Bought in Lidl and brewed by Het Anker. Attracted by the name and the imagery on the bottle, a very retro look, Lucifer himself holding a pitchfork surrounded by fire.
Very bubbly on opening, an awful lot of carbonation, Jesus!
Too much head, HUGE, that sticks around, forever. Takes ten minutes to die down, half the beer fizzled away, Must be the bottle, A murky yellow colour, not a good start.
I dont know if it was the bottles but too much fizz, ridiculous, undrinkable.
The smell was quite strong on the nose, wow. Can really smell the hops. Even though its strong it is pleasant to smell. A lovely beery aroma, with a sweet lemon citrus note.
Very sweet taste, sweet malts initially, with a bit of fruit,
Deep aftertaste, Ok, very bitter in the end, earthy hops, and lingers long
Nice enough I guess, Manageable
Very strong, can definitely feel the alcohol!
Not sure about this one to be honest. Didn’t really enjoy at the start, but there was enough in it to make me think again, perhaps that was the alcohol kicking in, which does creep up on you in this beer. Had a cunt of a head the next day, was hellish! Lol

Aug. 2010: 330 ml bottle, bought at Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8%, brewed by Het Anker. Very pale yellow colour, hazy in the end, huge white head. The aroma has notes of "Green Apples Shampoo", Belgian ale yeast and spices. The flavour is fairly refreshing for its strength and moderately spicy, notes of green apples again, also notes of white candi sugar and artificial candy, unpleasant soapy aftertaste. Overall disappointing.

Smell is sweet bread, caramel, sour cider, almost spoiled. Taste is muted sweet grain, hops and spice in the backgorund. Very drinkable, light and refreshing for an 8% beer (!!!) - that's the best thing I can say for it
Maybe a bad bottle...

Look - quite hazy pale yellow/orange...great retention...lots of foam...looks amazing
Smell - tart fruit, bread, mango, cracker, slight malt...nice aroma...some Belgian yeast
Taste - tart right of the bat - some honey, cracker, lemon/orange, some spices like clove and black pepper, hints of banana....decent Belgian yeast appears here and there
Feel - not quite up to the medium bodies level...a touch thin maybe... Stays active and still a nice mouthfeel
Overall - very good beer...I've seen this one around and had to try. Think it was $5 or so. I'll grab another one in the future. Pleased with this one.

See-through light yellow.
Nice off-white head; strong lacing.
Fresh bread nose.
Thin mouthfeel.
Corn and hops mark the taste; like a high quality lager! Good not great.

750mL corked bottled 3/11/16 (2.5 years ago) poured into a Duvel glass at 55F 8% ABV. The beer pours bright golden straw yellow with nearly white head. The head is prolific and eventually falls to a 1/4" cap and laces the glass. The aroma reveals honey, light malt, and subtle Belgian yeast. The taste is fruity and lightly clovey with very nice pils malt taste and a pepper lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. No alcohol in the taste or aroma. Overall, very good. This is very nice all around. The feel, malt and yeast notes are well integrated and it's beautiful in the glass. This review has 666 characters!
