A - It is a beautiful pale shade of yellow. A champagne-like head perches atop it.

S - I smell some fruit notes of pear and apple.

T - It has some white wine characteristics. I also get more of the pear. The spices come through with the finish.

M - It has a moderate mouthfeel with biting carbonation. Once again, reminding me of champagne.

O - It was surprisingly good. It is a little mild as far as taste goes, but I'd rather have that than a lot of bad taste.

A - Murky straw, Near white head that leaves to disk fast, some small cling lace.

S - Slightly pungent, tart, malty.

T - Grainy, malty, fruity, nice blend of flavors.

M - Medium body, great carb, good balance.

D - Higher than average abv, but very drinkable. I recommend.

Bottle pour for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a slightly murky yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spices, and yeast. Taste is much the same with a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Poured from a 25.4oz bottle into mug. First glass had a strong head.

A. Golden honey. A transparent apple juice with a strong head and laced well.

S. Smells like belgian. Fruity, malts and hops are there too. Carbonation tickles

T. Starts out American, but sweeter. Leaves hoppy..burps are tastey with the sweet and bitter.

M. Nice carbonation. Refreshing... if I had more than one bottle I would guzzle.

O. I like this one! It ads a distinct belgian taste to the PBR that I would drink everyday. Not watery though. But still refreshing. The lite warmth of the 8% ABV cuddles me into bed and sings me a lullaby. Seriously...will buy again

Taken from copious notes:

The bartender poured this into a chalice glass. On the initial pour he got a ton of foam, which he poured until it went away. The remaining one finger of head led to some decent lacing on the glass.

The smell was soure like a single, but there wasn't much going on here.

The flavor was good, but there is nothing really exception going on here. This was a very easy to drink belgian style beer.

The name is nice, but nothing in the name would be indicative of the flavor. You would figure that there would be sharpness/harshness... that really isn't the case.

Overall this is a decent fall back when available, however, this is nothing to really pursue.
