Got the bottle of the year 2000, brewed at February the 24th of 2000.
Add the nice dark, ruby like in a Gouden Carolus chalice. There was no thick foam, the beer went complete dead when I poor it in the glass. Cause of there was no foam in it it have to do cause this is a 13 years old aged bottle. I heard that than the foam complete fades away when you pour it in the chalice.
Nice colour, and the nose gives a very warm and a red fruits appearance. Also some dark chocolate is there.
For a alcohol of 8,5% (not 11%, on this bottle what I have stands 8,5%), it is a very delicate and good to drink. The strongest of the alcohol is not there. The sparklings is a little on the background, not so much on this great fantastic beer.
The taste is very warm, delicate have some sweetness in it. Red fruits, some caramel, some chocolate. Very pleasant. One of my favourites and highly recommended for those who like warm and strong dark ales.
The 2000 years bottles are quite rare to get. Hopefully if you will find one! Than you have a very special and a fantastic collector's item.

Poured into Tulip Glass from 750 ML Bottle. 2012 Bottle
A: Deep brown that, under light, turns a deep orangish hue. White to off white small bubbled head. It sticks around for quite a while. Lacing throughout.
S: Belgian yeast. Dark fruits. Cherries. Very light hops... smooth and mellow.
T: Surprisingly sweet. But... FANTASTIC. Cherries, prunes, elderflower. Belgian yeast. Can't find the 11% alcohol at all. Some sips... I wonder if I am tasting a sweet/sour wine.
M: Medium to light body. Hard to believe it is so light for the amount of materials to make style/alcohol.
O: This is very tasty. I have read some great reviews saying I should age longer... I would agree. I think this is fantastic brew, but slightly green. 2 years are just not enough to really pull the flavors that other reviewers are finding.
