Had this in a bottle poured into a tulip glass at Spagio's in Columbus, Ohio. 750 mL dated 2008.
A: Mahogany, reddish-brown with ruby hues. Poured with a medium cream head that died to a collar.
S: Rustic, cherry sweetbread with brown sugar and leafy, moldy hops.
T: Creamy tart cherry with molasses and a somewhat "moldy" backbone. There is some raisin and slightly apparent alcohol with lingering fruits.
M: Slightly syrupy, but very creamy and frothy.
D: Excellent. I wouldn't even know it was 8% ABV, let alone 11%!
