A bockbier on tap at the Philly brewpub.
A: Coppery amber, orange most with some darker colors floating around for good measure. A white head keeps the beer in check.
S: The nose is malty, grainy with pale and caramel aromas, plenty of breadiness too. Hoppiness is mild, allowing that breadiness to really come through.
T: The maltiness, so good. It's easy to forget about good ones like this. The chewiness doesn't let up, light and bready with a bit of toast. That maltiness doesn't let up, chewy throughout with a fruity finish. A good digestif.
M: Very surprising, normally I don't key in on the bock beers. I'm glad I did though, rich and luxurious without a heavy price tag.
