The Belle Gueule Houblon is a filtered dry-hopped lager. The nose will hit you with its intriguing floral blend of five American and Noble hops. And the mouthfeel, such lovely bitterness.

2 for $4 at a Montreal Metro. Clear amber with a strong head. Sharp, piney nose. Balanced malt and hops to taste. Nice crispness encourages another sip. Good value.

Part of a Belle Gueule winter taster pack; 15 beers for just under 20$ tax & deposit included. Poured into a flute glass at approximately fridge temp.
Look: pours an orange amber obviously carbonated drink with moderate head with medium retention that becomes wispy and leaves lacing.
Smell: Hoppy with citrus notes. Apricots.
Taste: A bit of a bite upfront. What do you expect from cheap beers? Noticeable hop bitterness of moderate impact. Tastes a bit funky with some tastes I can't really discern. Like metal or similar. Some notes of cheap beer.
Mouthfeel: slightly dry finish. Mouthfeel is all over the place. Some slight metallic feel.
Overall: Not great. I barely enjoyed it. Good for if you're low on cash but I do not recommend. There are many better products on out there which give you the same hop experience without the cheap feel to it. As a "dry-hopped imperial pilsner/lager, it barely makes the cut.
19/01/2018 Edit: I had a second one from the pack and enjoyed it for the most part. While it's not the best beer I've drunk, it's drinkable and hits the spot, especially after not having a beer for two weeks. Still some odd hoppy/metallic aftertaste/ People who aren't choosy would and enjoy a strong hop beer will enjoy this one.

Amber color. Medium lace. Scent is hops. Taste is hoppy balanced with I want to say a hint of honey flavour which counteracts the bitterness keeping it to a nice minimum. Carbonated but has a layer of smoothness to accompany it.

Purchased at a Metro in Montreal Quebec 473ml can for $3.00 plus tax and deposit was around $3.50 or so. Served at 5deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a 1/2" high white head that lasts for 2-3mins before film out. Dark gold colour and filtered clear
S- Not a lot here. Some hops but not dry hopped at all
T- Nice mild sweet malt to hops balance. Very American pale ale flavored. Not too strong in any department and as expected nothing sticks out at you either.
M- Dry and a bit tart. Some creaminess on the way down
O- Nice un-offensive however uninspiring IPA. Safe on all respects makes this brew a safe one albeit predictable one. No complaining but every company should have a solid go to IPA in this American style
Food Pairing
This nice little brew went well with....... Cheese stuffed BBQ's sandwiches. Top 'em the way you like.
Enjoy

See through copper brew with a small white had with some lacing. Nice smell of fresh hops, also there's some bread aromas and malts aromas too. Good bitterness and hop flavor but there's nothing else good in it.

This beer has a new design which could be misleading because you think that's a new variety of IPA. The taste is more on the malty side, not much hops. This is similar to many other beers from that brewery.

A little caramel colour on the pour, good head retention through. A smooth sweet taste, malty at first with a nice hop balance at the end. Perfectly carbonated. Considering the abv, quite easy on the palate.
