A- This beer has a crystal clear apricot body with a billowy off-white head and a sea of microbubbles swirling to the surface. S- The full honey aroma has a shampoo quality, but in a nice way. There is a fruity quality with a softer yeasty note to follow. The finish is pears with a calendula flower aroma.
T- The dry circus peanut fruity yeast flavor has a softer wheat malt note and some fresh honey flavors. There is a soft tang of hop bitterness with a dry hop flavor in the finish aswell.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with no alcohol heat and a light fizzy cleaning finish.
D- The great smooth fruity yeast and honey flavors blend together nicely and hide the 8%abv nicely. The sweet flavors are supported nicely by the hops so that it doesn't turn cloying.

Bottled under license by the Cheval Blanc in Montreal. Light golden ale witha medium head that did not disapear too quickly. The honey taste is very discreet. I could recognize the usual taste of the yeast use by Cheval Blanc. Enjoyable but not exceptionnal

The bottle contained a solid finger of yeast and was chunky. Poured in order to avoid chunks of yeast.

Pale gold to straw in color, and slightly murky.

Smelled of spice, yeast and faintly of citrus fruit with maybe a hint of apricot.

Taste started with flavours of bread, banana, and evolved with a hint of honey and finished slightly bitter.

The mouth feel wasn't quite chewy but definitely lingered in a somewhat unpleasant way.

Overall it was okay, the amount of yeast in the bottle really through me off. The yeast was chunky and wouldn't dissipate when agitated. Excluding the issue with the yeast it was quite average.

It has a dirty brown color that is extremely cloudy. It looks great as a beer but if I didn't know it was a beer I would be afraid of this beverage. The smell is probably the best part of this beer. Sweet and herbal with a touch of honey, hazelnut, citrus of some kind. Perhaps more orangey then citrus. On the first sip it is obvious that it is orange or mango. The finish is very dry. It's like biting into a honey wheat biscuit with some herbal mango jelly. Pretty cool beer.

Pours a murky orange-brown color with tan head. Head falls quick to nothing. Not much lace. Downright ugly color actually.

Smells of spice and heavy on the yeast. Smells like a typical Belgian but a mess of a Belgian.

Taste is of Belgian yeast, spice, citrus and a touch of coriander. Alcohol is present as well. Bit strong but tastes better than it looks or smells.

Medium bodied and a bit burning in the tongue.

Seems messy but it's not bad. Will most likely have again.

650ml Bottle

Appearance – Hazy yellow colour with a large size fizzy white coloured head. There is a below average amount of carbonation showing and there is some fairly good lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes before it was gone. There was also lots of yeast floating around the beer.

Smell - Wheat, bananas, lemons, coriander/cloves

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation. I can taste bananas mixed with some lemons and a coriander/cloves spiciness. I can also pick up on the alcohol and a touch of a honey sweetness. It ends with a lemon/banana tart aftertaste.. that also comes across as medicine like for some reason.

Overall – The scent was definitely the highlight of this beer, very pleasant. It had shades of a Unibroue beer but in the end it fails in comparison. The flavours just need a little bit of work to make this a truly great beer. I wouldn't buy this one again, but it wasn't a waste of money either.

Looks like mead. Hazy golden color, very little head & it doesn't last long. Smells good but WOW that honey comes on strong. Tastes of honey and flowers, lavender maybe? Good and very unique. Great up front, actually, but the flowery aftertaste is a bit overwhelming. Well-carbonated and oily on the tongue. Drinkability is limited by that flowery aftertaste. Just couldn't do more than one of these. Unique and worth a try but this one will never be a session beer.

Big fizzy fluffy head rises over 2 fingers and and fades at a medium pace with tons of lacing and a fluffy Belgian messy head, over clear slightly hazy golden watery pale colored beer.

Nose loaded with Belgian malts, fruits, etc, a light Belgian malt aroma, lots of fruits from the Belgian yeast, apple, pear, orange peel, spices bringing light coriander, citrus, etc.

Taste starts with plenty more Belgian flavors, plenty of light Belgian malts, semi sweet, little creamy malt, plenty of fruits again with apple, pear, orange peel, apricot, etc, then some light spices coriander, bitter orange peel, zest, etc, it mentions honey but I don't really get any other than a dry finish. There's a decent booze feel even for 7.8%, a bit tingly and warming. The finishes dries quite a bit, also some lingering fruits plenty of apple, little sticky feel, malts, orange, etc.

Mouth is med to slightly heavier bodied for a light beer, warming and tingly booze, and good carbonation.

Overall pretty good, I was expecting a very light beer but it had a nice bite to it, booze, malts, and spices all blended.

660 ml brown bottle.

A- Cloudy golden yellow. Big chunks of sediments at the bottom that I avoided pouring into my glass (at least at first). Almost no head.

S- Interesting yeasty, wheaty aroma. Some spice. Sweet, fruity notes.

T- Alcohol, yeast, spices. Very sweet honey middle. Very little bitterness, almost none in fact. Different. One of the few sweet beers I have actually enjoyed.

MF- Surprisingly crisp given the flavour. Catches slightly in the throat, which is a problem I've noticed before with RJ's yeasty beers.

D- Sweetness and the catching in the throat makes this a beer I wouldn't drink many of at a time. Mediocre drinkability, but I feel it,s passable because of the interesting flavour.

Presentation: 660ml brown glass bottle, 7,8 ABV

Appearance: Golden and a good neck of foam. Maybe too dark for a pale ale.

Smell: Weird. I doubt about this mix smelled. Some hops smell too.

Taste: Sweet and bitter. Very instable. Strong presence of hops.

Mouthfeel: Really too metallic and bitter to say that it was ok.

Overall: If this is your style of beer, you may like it. Otherwise...

Had to buy the matching Barbar glass.

Even though I hadnt previously heard of it, I had to add it to my collection. The glass is a short wide, frosted mug with the name and logo on the front. Looks really nice when its holding what it was made for. Dont regret my purchase one bit.

The usual pour resulted a huge palm sized luscious, fluffy, creamy, just slightly off white head. The head is pretty crazy, I only had to wait this long with Orval. Future pours might be slightly slower..

Very nice subtle aroma. A wheaty almost heffe aroma. Some citrus, and yes now im picking up the honey, but its light. Mostly sweet and light in aroma. Slight bready yeastiness.

This beer is very good, and very different. It almost has a tea like quality, I thought on the first few drinks. Its super slick low carbonation mouthfeel, and the honey, I guess. The wheat prevails with the honey sweetness there. I finding the first drink pretty good and want more. This is no way near Duvel but this seems to be a different style and not even compareable. To me they are way different, even though in the same style catagory. Different from Delirium too. A little hope bite finish.

This beer pours extremly carbonated but isnt at all on the tongue. Its super smooth, and has just enough carbonation to get by it seems. Its enjoyable.

Im not the average person, but this to me is light enough to be a summer beer , believe it or not. Light mouthfeel thats medium body, goes down really easy.

Could say I envy those of ancient times that drank the original creation.
