A: Poured from the corked 750mL bottle into a tulip glass. The beer is a cloudy root beer brown with a small fizzy light tan head. Traces of carbonation roll up the sides of the glass.
S: Brown sugar, caramel malt, plum, toffee, molasses, Belgian yeast and other dark fruits. Spices like clove. A classic-smelling beer.
T: Caramel and toffee, bread, pie crust, cola, plum. A nice smooth flavor
F: Soft carbonation. Medium bodied.
Overall: This is a classic Belgian ale that hits right on the mark. This does not disappoint, especially for the price.

Pours a dark brown with a dark beige head that quickly subsides to a thin collar. Quite cloudy if you shake the unfiltered yeast.
Smells of caramel brown sugar and molasses.
Taste of sugar, sweet dark malts, pepper, dark fruit ( dried plums ) and Belgian yeast .
Warms up in the stomach after a few sips, not much hop bitterness. Is quite rich and subtle and nice if you like the style.
Inexpensive here in Quebec and worth a try, also available in larger bottles. There is a blond version also.

A nice beer but something is amiss as it's fairly thin. At the same time, the carbonation and alcohol give you a weird fizzy feeling. Having said all that, the price in Quebec is cheap, so it's worth the spend once.

Brune D'Achouffe. Got it in a 6 packs for 10,99$ at IGA here in Montreal
So the look of it: Amber brown color with medium carbonation and about a finger of head.
The smell of it: Belgian Style , malt and hops and some spicy, smell like strawberries
The taste of it: Not quite there compare to the smell. Goes down really easy once again you have some spices and some brown sugars. Something is missing compare to the smell.
So overall would I recommend it? Sure, overall this is a nice beer !.
