One of the most popular beer in Quebec as I see.
Second time that I try a Red Ale. After trying the Boreale my exception is a bit high and the Belle Gueule did pretty well, so well that I give the same mark 3,75.
Same, Nice smell of light caramel. The taste is roasted coffee.
Nice carbonation, and very smooth to drink.
So would I recommend it ? If you find it and its on special, yes why not, give it try. Its not that different from a Blonde beer as it taste. Some extra sweet flavour will come that u will enjoy it.

A: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Body is chestnut-amber with a small off-white head that settles quickly.

S: Sweet, caramel malt. Corn syrup? A touch of husky grain.

T: Caramel malt and toffee, with a bit of wet cardboard and minerally hop bitterness that tries to offset the malt but fails. Lingering sweetness on the aftertaste.

M: Light-to-medium in heft, feels a bit thin/watery at times. Carbonation is active and fizzy, but gentle and thus not offensive.

O: OK. Nothing special.

Had this on tap at the Irish Embassy in Montreal. This was labeled as their house amber, but the bartender told me it was the Belle Gueule. Pours a bright red colour with very thin off-white head. Head dissipates fairly quickly with little lacing. Smells incredibly malty and sweet, caramel and quite nutty. Sweet flavour, almost no bitterness. Carbonation is quite high, I'd prefer a bit smoother. A nice enough amber.

341ml bottle poured into a pint glass

Appearance - pours a clear copper with a fair size foamy off-white head. There is lots of carbonation and there is a medium amount of lacing left on the glass. Doesn't really look all that 'red' for a red beer.

Smell - has a dry smell, slight hops and bread notes

Taste & Mouth - Low to average amount of carbonation in the mouth. Starts off somewhat dry and then finishes with a brown sugar like sweetness. It actually has a nice balance of taste.. perhaps a little too watery though.

Drink - probably my favorite of the Belle Guelle family. But even with that being said, there are much better beers out there.
