There are better options in town but this location of Total Wine doe shave a couple of things going for it.
First, it's right off of Route 19 which makes it convenient. Second, if you're heading north on 19 up the Gulf Coast it is your best last option. The rest of the coast is, essentially, a beer desert. This is your final outpost.
Selection is very good, not great. Lots of cool stuff for an out-of-towner like me but it's basically the same selection from every other Total Wine I saw in the state. The exception would be that this location carries Saint Somewhere and I had problems finding them further down the coast. Nice selection of locals, good selection of singles.
The prices are good and service was polite. Worth a stop if you're passing through.

Very big place with an exceptional selection. However, as with any retail operation; the larger it is, the more intimidating it can be. Employees are not always available to assist, which can pose a challenge for someone looking for a recommendation, or the like. But, if you do manage to find a staff member; they are some of the most knowledgeable and helpful around.

Pretty much like any Total Wine I have been to, other than there is a nice walk in humidor for those interested.
Singles section was a little bare and dated. Solid stock overall, and no problem finding any local beers (other than limited Funky Buddha maybe) Probably the best selection around Madeira Beach and Treasure Island, and easy to get to.

You been to one TW you've been to them all...that's not a bad thing though...we visited this morning having just arrived from Canada...solid though though not comprehensive selection. Lots of great finds including the Guinness Brewers Project...staff were helpful and huge selection, though still managed to find several other beers on my hit list...
The Clearwater location I'm told isn't as good as the St Petes version but haven't been there in a few years...details in a few days...

The beer section here was a little smaller than their location in Tampa, but they also had some different beers. I imagine this store is a little less busy because beers that were sold out in Tampa were still on the shelf here. They had a few xmas beers that were marked down to less than half price, so there are deals to be found.

I do think the reviews below need to be re-reviewed again. This place has just about anything you need and at a tremendous price. Though it is like most other Total Wine's in the area. There is an amazing selection here. I don't mean to be picking at the reviews below but there are many seasonal beers as well as saisons and sours.Just about everything cigar city has ever bottled is in this store.
Even on a crowded weekend afternoon with many of people shopping the employees still made time to make sure you find everything you need. The atmosphere is that just of a warehouse atmosphere but still a massive beer selection. The only thing I didn't notice was a craft case selection besides the specials of the season.
The cheapest prices I have seen in any beer store around here. This imparticular Total Wines is awesome and I will do all of my beer shopping here.

Exactly the same as the Tampa location. Same beers. Same storage. Same everything. Even much of the same staff. If you have never been to a Total Wine it is worth a stop. If you have then expect nothing new.
They carry all the basic stuff and a few of the reguarly availible really good offerings like Oaked Yeti, all the Trappists save Westy, a good selection of other Belgians. Stoudts, Penn, Tommyknocker, DFH, Allagash, Ommegang, Unibroue, Bison....you get the picture. No special orders. No good lambics or rare saisons. It's worth a stop for a solid selection at good prices, but for the low distribution stuff head to the many independts int he area that have a better selection.
