Poured into a Pilsner glass, colour was very light straw, very transparent, with 3 fingers of foam which vanished pretty fast into a minimal lacing.
The initial sweet taste gave way to a very slightly bitter aftertaste. It feels lighter than its 4.8% alcohol content. Typical for a Kölsch, actually.
The local population around Köln is even mixing this beverage with Coke as a cocktail in their clubs and Discos.
I enjoyed this fresh Blonde cold after a meal, and it felt quite refreshing despite the low carbonation.
Overall, the taste lacked depth, but on the other hand, it is a Kölsch, and it was never meant to be heavier from the beginning.
Very drinkable, and I imagine this would be a great beer for a hot August night. I will try this again in some time.

Part of me is more interested in Kolsch as a type of beer than I'm actually interested in drinking it. I think the flavors are generally too subtle for my unrefined taste. Gaffel is the best I've had, but I still struggle to remember how it tastes exactly, even from just a few hours ago. Crisp, light, with a distinct (but soft) sour aftertaste. A decent beer for spring but not something I'll keep coming back for.

Pours perfectly. Golden with a white head that falls fast. Exceptional clarity. Nose is malty with a bit of yeast. There's a touch of grass or what I would call wet hay and a subtle white grape fruitiness. Just brilliant! Drinks like a lazy summer evening. Has a moderate carbonation that gives it lightness. It's a touch bitter and the fruitiness is subdued but firm. The malty bearing of this beer is crisp and a true delight in it's simplicity. Bites a little before it finishes dry and with a bit of sweetness to linger a moment.
I love it!
