This is probably one of the best value-for-money drinking beers you can get in Australia. It's nothing special as far as pilseners go, but at $15 for a six pack of 500ml cans, you really can't go far wrong. Quite watery with high carbonation and a medium, tolerably metallic hoppy bitterness. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get pissed fast and cheap but not resort to VB or XXXX Bitters.

330 ml can

Pours a straw like yellow with a thin white head that leaves some lacing. Smells of a general maltiness and graininess with some background hops. Malt shows itself more in the taste than in the smell. Very biscuity. There's some really muddled hop flavors in there somewhere, very faint, and there's this out of place bitterness. Not sharp and biting but leans more to a dirty hop bitterness. Finishes dry. Mouthfeel is light and bubbly but never feels watery. A good beer to have a few of when you don't really want to think about what you're drinking.

Half-inch bleached head that lasted for about 30sec, no lacing. Clear golden.
Boring grainy malt aroma, no hops. Big metallic bitter kick, with a cardboard taste to follow. Not overly foul though.
Very watery with a noticeable tingle from carbonation.
Rather boring. Still, it's become a staple of my uni drinking lifestyle when I know I won't actually be bothering to really taste the beer. Mainly due to it being 1 of the 4 cheapest beers available, and not too horrible. Would advise to drink from the bottle rather than pour into a glass. At least then you don't get the nasty smell.

A: Light gold with a very small and thin head that dissipates quickly.
S: Grainy, light malt aroma with just a hint of hops, but you almost have to be looking for the hops to pull out much hop scent from this beer's nose.
T: Crisp and clean with a light malt flavor following the nose, just a hint of hop back in the slightly bitter, dry finish.

My flatmates in Berlin drank this beer to hell and back, and for good reason: it was 19 Euro cents per bottle. For that price, it's a solid example of an uber-sessionable German Pils, but it's not something to go out of your way looking for.

Pours a golden straw color with no noticeable head, even pouring straight into the glass. What head was there disappeared as fast as it appeared. Can't get a whole lot of smell out of it, either. Very faint aroma of noble hops, very faint. The taste is fairly heavy with noble hops, otherwise clean. Not much maltiness or sweetness there. Finishes fairly bitter. Mouthfeel is light, and a little scraping on the tongue. As for drinkability, it's not a bad german beer, but it's nowhere near the best either. Probably won't bother with it again, I can get much better german lagers for the same money.

Bottle of 330 ml.. Golden yellow colour, with some bubbles rising to the surface and a two finger soapy head that quickly dissolves, leaving some light lacing on the glass.
Aroma is the usual for pilsener malts, with some traces of corn too. Taste is bitter and also a bit corny. Quite metallic too, as if it was coming from a can. Medium thickness on the body, and less than average carbonation

330ml can

A- Very light golden, perfectly transapent. Couple of finger white head, shows decent retention at first but soon recedes without leaving even a hint of lacing

S- Weak. A basic malty/grainy feel, nothing reminding of noble hops

T- Grainy crispness upfront, a hint of lemon, a touch of undifened hop bitterness, quite metallic

M- Light body, extremely high carbonation, brings life but feels almost offensive at times

O- Low quality beer. Their Export was a little better than the standard macro lager, this one is not

This pils pours just as any pils should. It has a perfect bright white head, with the body being clear, and golden staw in color. The only limfac is how the head dissipates too quickly, but still has pretty good lacing.

The aroma is on par. It has a hay/cracker fragrance, but with a hint of lemon and metallic hops.

The taste is a little bit sweeter than I expected. There's almost a graham cracker flavor here, with a follow up of a slightly skunky taste.

This has an odd tobacco like bite to it. It's not very appealing for a light bodied lager.

Over all this beer is ho-hum, and I'd probably never purchase it again. It almost tastes like drinking a moderately stale beer from a can. I think it's time to revamp the recipe on this one.

Ok so I am not a big fan of cans so that is a couple of points of somewhere.

this pours a light honey colour. Clear. hardly an head to speak of. Not the most attractive beer.

Grainy aromas fighting it out with a touch of lemon. Grains win.

Maltiness on the palate. Not what I was expecting from a pils. Some mettalic bitterness.

Medium bodied.

Cheap and sort of cheerful.

Picked up a 6 pack from the local BWS...

Poured a typical clear light yellow colour, & with a nice hint of caramel & hops in the aroma...also some 'plasticky' yeasty dough.
Once run across the entire tongue, it went from an initial hoppy feel to a definate grainy maltiness, bready, doughy & yeasty in flavour too, & a tinge of burnt notes. Some pepperness too.
Quite a lingering bitterness as expected for a Pils, Mouthfeel: carbonation was a little too harsh.
Overall, not bad, very easy to drink, goes down great when thirsty....just that powerfull yeasty doughy aroma & taste left it a little different, & not good if u don't like full yeasty characteristics.
For the price an alright drink for a hot summers arvee in the sunburnt country!!!

S - 500ml can is the only way to go, no skunk at all and more beer for your money.

A - Typical macro lager piss yellow prehaps a shade darker.

S - Light malt, no skunk, some hops, very clean

T - Just a decent Pils ticks all the boxes, taste is exactly like the smell, clean, malts not too sweet, nice hop bitterness.

M - Lots of carbonation but it not over carbonated, good zing on the tounge.

O - This is the cheapest beer you can buy in Australia and its fully imported from Germany none of this made under licence bull shite. It craps all over our local macros and I rate this higher than any Becks or Heinekein which is much more expensive. Definatly my go to session beer when i want to knock a few back. Low price and good taste = WIN in my book.

0.5 liter can into a Pilsner Urquell mug.
Yellow, transparent, white foam. Standard pils look.
The smell is clean. Sweet pils malt and a kind of nondescript hop aroma takes a back seat.
The taste is again very clean. Some malt, more nondescript hop bitterness. Light-bodied, perhaps too much so, but nothing about it is unpleasant.
A nice amount of bitterness in the after-taste leaves a tinge on your tongue, though it feels at times astringent.
Amongst the other German beers that are priced similarly in this neck of the woods, Bitburger Warsteiner and DAB mostly, this is the best. Nothing to be excited about but I'll have a few in a part on a hot summer day in Italy.
Dirt cheap too. € 0.68 / 0.5 liter can.

Pours bright pale yellow with large white head with rather good retention, some patches of lacing. Aroma is weak malt, grassy hops.

Taste is grainy malt, bitter and slightly spicy hops, some citrus and short grassy bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light with more than moderate carbonation.

Overall, there is not much flavour in it. Not bad, but very boring Pils.

I had this beer on a recent trip to Bologna. Served in a 33 cl bottle, it poured a clear yellow color with a fantastically stable white head. It's a nice looking brew, looking just right as an inviting Pils. The aroma had a bit of malt in the background, with a notable fresh, floral, herbal hoppiness as well. The aroma was a little subtle though. The taste was solid, with a nice bitterness in the mid-taste and a little peppery sensation in the mid-tongue. Light in body, with a nice crispness at the finish. Fairly drinkable as well. All in all, this was a fine brew, but nothing special. It's on par for the style, and is also quite refreshing. Nothing really grabs you that this is extraordinary. Good, but ordinary.

500ml can poured into a pils glass by the freshness date indicated on the bottom.

L:
Gold straw in color with dense and soft white head with good retention, low visible carbonation, it leaves good lacing patches when head dissipated.

S:
Barley malt leads with floral hop, citrus. The smell is quite inviting.

T:
Significant citrus zest, mute malt base, finish by hop bitterness which is slightly lackluster.

F:
The body is medium with soothing carbonation and dull mouth feel.

O:
The appearance and smell look good but the fact is that the taste and feel kill this beer.
