Look - - Dark orange to yellow
Smell - Fruity citrus king of like a berry
Taste - Initial taste is very light almost watery before a very bitter after taste of hops with slight malt
Feel - very smooth with relatively delicate carbonation
Overall - 3/5 halfway, a drinkable beer but wouldn't go out of my way to buy

On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a huge cap on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and brown sugar. Taste is much the same with a medium citrus zest bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

On tap at Congregation LB.

A: Pours slightly hazy orangish amber with a 1-inch finely carbed white head which leaves good rings of lace.

N: Floral like spring blossoms, citrus (oranges) and some malty sweetness.

T: Bright orange citrus, herbal, slightly woody and earthy, some pine balanced with malt.

M: Medium body and carbonation. Light fresh hoppy floral finish. Slightly dry and bitter.

O: Quite good. The best of the three offerings. Never had Pride of Ringwood hops before. Also use citra and dry hopped with galaxy according to the brewer. Seek this out.

A: Pours a very hazy to cloudy golden orange to almost copper in color with some light amounts of visible carbonation at the edges of the surface of the beer. The beer has a half finger tall creamy light beige head that reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a couple of thicker patches and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to heavy amounts of lacing are observed.

S: The smell starts out with some light amounts of malt sweetness but that is quickly dominated by the strong presence of hop aromas - citrus/grapefruit, tropical/passionfruit, and very light amounts of pine/resin.

T: The beer starts out with some light malt sweetness (caramel and toffee) which is then overtaken by the hop flavors (all kinds of hop flavors) - in order of intensity that would be citrus/grapefruit, tropical/passionfruit, and much lighter amount of pine. Surprising that with all the hop flavors, there is very little bitterness - what a well balanced beer.

M: On the heavier side of medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Smooth with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Definitely the best Australian beer I have had to date, by quite a fair amount. Very enjoyable, very easy to drink, and definitely one to enjoy again. This is really just on the cusp of being an IPA not an APA but due to the moderate alcohol (ABV), I could have more than one of these...

A: The beer is very hazy and somewhat resembles apple cider, except that it isn’t as cloudy and has some yellow in it. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that gradually died down and consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a thin collar of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of citrus and passionfruit in the nose from the Galaxy hops.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, but a bit more varied with hints of caramel and toffee from the underlying malts. There are some slight hints of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has great amount of hop flavors—like you would expect from a good IPA—but is really easy to drink because it’s lighter and doesn’t have much in the way of hop bitterness.

Copper color, off white head, small bubbles, minimal lacing.

Caramel malt on the nose. Hop aroma is initially a minimal pine that follows through with more potent lemon orange citrus and a bit of spice.

Well balanced in terms of flavor- not especially sweet, but the orange citrus stands out on my palate. Not particularly dry, but citrus flavor lingers.

This is my first Australian craft beer- and I am definitely impressed. Putting it in the spectrum of American to European hop profile- it really bridges the gap between spicy and pine/citrus. This is a really nice beer-

No real beer classification "Australian Pale Ale." So I assigned it to a style based on hop scent. This has more in common with a Pale Ale made in California than one made in Britain.

Chill hazed amber colored ale with a small off-white colored head.

Malty and hoppy scented with some butter and vanilla in it. Scents of pine and eucalyptus from the hops, decidedly more like American hops than European. Smells like an American pale ale fermented with Ringwood yeast.

Starts out malty and spicy on the tongue, much stronger flavored that the scent would make you think. Woody and a little bitter. Mild butter flavor so they didn't let Ringwood yeast do too much of the fermenting. Not overly bitter just about perfectly balanced with the malt level. Little bit of hop funk here, mild onion flavor and a stronger eucalyptus flavor.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a tasty beer that doesn't try and push the Pale Ale in to IPA territory. A tasty beer from a brewery I had not know of before I found this bottle at the Santa Barbra BevMo.
