Clear amber beer with a large white head. Aroma is malty with notes of red berries, citrus, mango and caramel. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, roasted malt, red berries and bread.

Hybrid English/US style. Lots of malt, but also a lot of quite bitter and resinous hops. Really quite a big bitter flavour. Lots of burnt toffee/caramel.

Format: standard 330mL solid brown bottle, standard Mountain Goat-esque craft label.
Appearance: a deep orange-copper body with light red highlights. Looks quite viscous, with small fine carbonation across the profile. A very thick one-finger beige head sits on top before slowly dropping to an extremely creamy and rocky half-finger. Looks fantastic.
Aroma: a pleasant aroma of pine and resin hops and some citrus fruits, grass and some floral, with a touch of malt behind.
Taste: again the pine and resin up front with a good dose of bitterness. Quite heavy for an IPA in that it has a strong earth and caramel malt flavour behind. Dulls the hops somewhat.
Aftertaste: the bitterness lingers with a lasting sweetness, but most importantly the hop flavour lingers, not just hop bitterness.
Mouth feel: a fairly heavy and viscous body with moderate carbonation. Possibly a bit too heavy, with too low a carbonation to bring those hops forward as much as possible. Still, very drinkable.
Overall: quite a nice English IPA, but funnily enough this one has a bit too much enphasis on the malts rather than the hops. A nicely complex beer and great on the nose, but to taste it is almost a bit too malt-heavy. Still, a really good-quality and easy-drinking English IPA. AU$85 a case.

Very nice IPA - although found it more of an American style IPA than an English IPA
aroma: malt, citrus, spice and caramel
Taste: strong grapefruit presence (especially at start) followed by pine with pepper and spice, along with slight citrus and caramel to support it. A nice clean hop taste with a good back-end kick.
A very good IPA by an Australian brewery which isn't too far behind ferals hop hog - very enjoyable to drink

A: Super clear copper colour. Long lasting dense fluffy head. Tons of lacing.
S: No real hop aroma. A little bit of sweet malt.
T: Balance of malt and bitterness. Not to much hop flavour. Toffee and a tiny bit of pine. Clean bitterness.
M: Nice crisp finish.
O: Nothing overly complex but still a nice beer.
