Leon de Baviera is a german bar located in one of the most populous streets (regarding nightlife) in cartagena. the bar is about 5 blocks off the old town and a few blocks down from the convention centre. the terrace is definetly the liveliest place because of the crowds of passersby that come and go from nightclubs and the nearby pub, Palos de Moguer.
The inside has a nice deco based on several posters and examples of beer culture much to the model of the bogota beer company in bogota.
service was quick enough but then again we stopped by at a rather good time (5pm) so there was not too many people around. Selection wasn't all too impressive but there was quite a good selection of imports at quite good prices.
food seemed very tempting, a selection of german delicacies (but i had just had a huge lunch)
All in all cartagena is not meant to be a beer-cultured place but the lion does a bit for us beer lovers out there as an alternative to the binge drinking you get carried on down there.
