Sleepy Time is an imperial stout that has been fermented with Belgian yeast and aged on oak staves. Tastes of chocolate, coffee & vanilla are complemented with American hops and a true Belgian character in the finish.

Pours a dark brown color with a cream colored head which fades fast. Scent is of coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is of coffee and roasted malts. Very smooth in the taste with the coffee being subtle and the chocolate being present in the after taste. Oak aging was not present enough for me to taste, smell or in any other way detect it prominently. Decent stout, but nothing out of the ordinary or overly exciting me to try another.

P: Dark brown, light frothy head, long slow lacing.
A: Sweet chocolate, roasted notes, Anise, dried fruit.
T: Roasted coffee, malt and chocolate, rasins and sloe plum, spices. Some lactose.
M: Medium bodied, silky. Good bitterness. Well rounded balance.
O: Very nice Belgium style Imperial Stout. What makes it better is it's organic! Great job from Beaus

Appearance - This beer pours dark brown with 2 fingers off white head that fades fast. seems to have little carbonation after that.
Aroma - I'm getting dark chocolate, roasted coffee, very predominate raisins. and a little licorice
Taste - Dark chocolate and coffee, followed by raisins, nuts, black licorice, roast and hop mixed bitterness.
Feel - Creamy medium full body, average carbonation, bitter yet sweet finish.
Overall - I'm a huge Beau's fan and a huge stout fan and so far this beer isn't cutting it for me. Don't get me wrong its a good stout its just I expected better balance from a beaus beer. The fruit stands above the chocolate and coffee in the middle of the beer and thats just not enjoyable for my palate. Oh well I guess sooner or later youll find a beer from any brewery you'll like less than their others. Still an interesting beer and worth a try.
