Koru Belgian Pale Ale boasts interesting spicy, peppery yeast notes, with tropical fruit inflections from New Zealand Nelson-Sauvin and Rakau hops. Complex and tasty, with a dry finish.

Bottle shared by Steve, 600ml into a tulip. Wild Oats Series #25.
Darker hazy orange, white head with good retention and a bit of lace. Nose is yeasty, some banana, mild spice and some bright orange citrus. Taste has some bitter citrus character, a spicy yeasty bite and some white pepper. Lighter medium body and good carbonation. Tasty, and having this back in warmer weather would've been great.

Meh. Pretty anonymous brew. Orange hued gold, a bit of the fog, moderate short-lived white head. Fruity w/a hint of yeast. Light drinker, not as Belgian in character as I would imagine. Understated.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of residual sugar ad light cereal notes is OK. Taste is a mix of quite a bit of residuals sugar notes with some cereal and light fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. The NZ hops notes are quite a bit subtle and don’t’ play a huge role as I would have expected.

cloudy golden honey colour with a two finger head of off white, yellow tinged foam that looks oily and sticky like an IPA.
Smells of tropical fruit like pineapple, a bit of white grape and a sour note that cuts through a subtle yeasty aroma. A little bit of musty hay fills out the background.
taste is more subdued, with mellower fruit notes of apricot and more prominent sourness and rindy bitterness. Yeasty funky notes are more wild sour - as the label suggests - than doughy and wet barn. Still, there is a mild underlying twang of sourdough bread, but very much a background note.
Pretty mildly carbonated though pleasantly tingly, light body and nice dry finish. Touch of warming half way down the glass.
Overall a fruity, exotic, slightly sour ale that is fresh and sharp at the same time. Nicely put together and in itself pretty pleasing but personally missing more of the funky barnyard flavours typically seen in the style. But I feel that wasnt the focus here. One of the better Beau's experiments Ive had, feels like a much more mature approach to a beer than they sometimes exhibit. Hopefully they have this available in quantity when the warmer weather hits - should be a great option for the summer.
