Poured into a tiny beer glass here in Changchun, China.

A-Bright yellow straw. A bubbly and white soda water head that sticks around for a mere 8 seconds. No lace left on glass. Every once in a while a thin, white ring looped around the glass. A lot of carbonation present in the glass.

S-The smell was actually surprising. It was full of adjuncts, rice, grain, and cheap malt, however, there was a bit of a flowery and citrus quality that I enjoyed in the aftertaste. Refreshing!

T-As I mentioned above, there was a citrus quality in the smell and the aftertaste. There was also a grainy, light, and rice taste throughout.

M-Very light and watery. Quite a light bodied brew.

Overall, does the trick on a sunny day in North China. Not a very good beer asTsingtao is better. It's difficult to find a good beer in Asia. The West is the best!

Consumed in mass in Emei, Lishan, and Chengdu, Sichuan province.

22oz bomber

Light golden body with minimal carbonation and almost no head what-so-ever.

Aroma smells faintly of steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Hints of plastic like chemicals.

Tastes as bland as beer can taste. Water with a little grass in it.

Feels flat, plasticy, with almost no bite and hints of rice sugar sweetness.

Representative of Chinese brewing. This is apparently the 5th most popular domestic brew.

Been visiting the wife's relatives in China for the past few weeks and while it's not difficult to hunt down decent wine, good beer is harder to come by.

It's been a non-stop parade of this stuff and Tsingtao. (With Budweiser, and Suntory being the other two you can find anywhere.)

Light as snow is about the right call. This is up there with Coors with being water in a can. You can session it into infinitely and nothing's going to happen, and for that it works. It's good for a giant food party that goes on for hours on end.

But taste, smell, mouthfeel? It's absurdly light. At least it doesn't have any skunky characteristics. (Which is good, since you'll often get served this straight up room temperature, and that'd only magnify that.)

I can't really complain, as it's incredibly cheap, so it's a case of you get what you pay for at least.

It'll do in a pinch, but I'm not gonna miss it when I'm back in the states.

Far exceeds Tsingtao or any other domestic beer I had in China. Consequently impressive on the drinkability side, but still lacks color, flavor, and any real taste.

Little lacing, smells not dissimilar to IceHouse (if such a smell can really be conjured), color is very watery and light yellow. Sits better in the mouth, with decent carbonation and a smooth finish for a light beer.

Inadept, but about as good as it gets for Chinese domestics.

Had at 老街一号 (Lao Jie Yi Hao) restaurant in 黄山市 (Huangshan City), China.

A: Very clear light yellow with active carbonation and about 1 finger of fizzy head that dissipates quickly.

S: Not much detectable, a bit of yeast maybe.

T/M: Crisp and light, adjunct malt and yeast flavor fade away very quickly revealing a slight sweetness and wateriness.

D: Refreshing and drinkable, but about it.

Purchased this one from a tiny imported food shop down near Gunpo station south of Seoul proper. Comes in a mighty 630ml green bottle with attractive label and foil trim. The label has "SNOW" written vertically on the side, some Chinese characters and 11 with the little degree symbol. Some tiny writing on the side (In English) lauds beer's ingredients, process, and taste. The back label is mostly in Chinese but does list an address, phone #, and abv (4.0%).
It's always nice to try something different and holding this huge honking bottle is an ego boost as well. Pours a pale yellowish gold with minimal head. The smell is acidic with what definitely seems to be rice the prime agent involved.
A watery, unimpressive taste with too much carbonation and a metallic aftertaste. Does have some light and refreshing qualities, would probably be best in the summer heat.
Certainly a mass produced and faceless brew, but maybe ok for the beach or a barbecue

The bottle says "Relax and enjoy this fine tasting beer." I'm doing so in my Shanghai apartment on an overcast day.

Poured from the 620mL bottle into a standard glass.

A: The beer is very light straw color with a fizzy head that doesn't stick around very long.

S: Slightly vegetal with some crackery malt. I can already tell the Euro pale influence here. ive the people what they want.

T: Yep there it is. Nothing special. Light fizzy lemony character with a bit of background malt. Some veggie notes in there. An overall watery character.

There are some beers you buy because they taste great and others you buy because they are cheap. Snow fills the latter category quite nicely in China. For 3.80 RMB, roughly 50 cents, you can have a regular old Euro pale. It is what it is, and really for what it is, not terrible. Like the bottle says: Relax, it's fine.

Brought back from China by my girlfriens parents. Snow Beer pours a crystal clear, faintly yellow, the color of a light cider. There is a vaguely grainy, slightly corny aroma, but that is about it. Not much going on in the flavor, a hint of grain, maybe the tiniest bit of cooked corn. No bitterness or hops to speak of. The beer is clean with no lingering flavor. The best thing that can be said is there are no off flavors, this could be an extremely refreshing beer in the right circumstance.

Purchased and consumed in Beijing. Glad to see it was in the database already.

Appearance is light yellow, very fizzy. Big white, light head. Soapy looking bubbles, really. Little retention once the carbonation settles down, but some lacing. Aroma is very light. Faint whiffs of vegetables and... soap again? Flavor is worse than mediocre. Light, but what flavors are present are less than pleasant: cooked veggies, grass and a lingering aftertaste. Mouthfeel is unpleasant - sticks to the inside of your mouth. I want to say "soap" again. Light body. Drinkability low. Won't be finishing the can.

For those searching for this beer with pinyin, it's "Xuehua pijiu"

The can here has an old-time pull tab on top, which provided little agitation when poured, causing the very light golden liquid to have very little foam on top of it. Rice emerges like gangbusters from the aroma leaving room for little else. The palate is smooth but full of adjunct. The rice overwhelms the barley and sweetness abounds. Very little bitterness at the end places this beer squarely in the category of a very average adjunct-laden lager.

Clear light gold body, little nose, little head, still in the glass.

Extremely drinkable, like water, with almost no alcohol in the taste. Flavorless, fizzy...fun? Nah. Light hops in the after. Didn't really enjoy it much.

Really cool looking bottle (especially compared to the rest of boring bottles available in China...thanks Miller) sampled in Shanghai, China, stated it was "9 degrees", or perhaps "9 proof". However, I doubt it was even 4.5% and the SABMiller website says it's 3 to 3.9%
