It's a deep, translucent bronze color off the tap, which creates a small, creamy and compact head that retains itself pretty well, holding up a foam the whole way, and drops down scattered lacing of moderate strength.
There's a hint of citrus in the nose balanced by caramel malt with notes of wheat, interestingly, and a little earth as well. It's a little light.
Hops are a little stronger in the flavor, though it's ultimately a little too strong in the malts for an IPA. Bitterness is mostly in the finish, though some pine and citrus peel do build up in the middle a bit. Malts give off caramel sweetness and breads with an underlying grainy/earthy note.
It's a little bit thin despite a medium body, though it's got a little life to it. The bitterness in the finish tends toward astringency, but it's not bad.

Long lasting head that leaves a rich blanket of lace on the glass. Clear with a bright copper color.

Strong caramel aroma reminiscent of British IPAs but the hop aroma leans toward America.

The malt is more subdued in the flavor profile. The hop is more biting and peppery than the smell suggests. The aftertaste does bring back the English malt with plenty of caramel and deeply toasted grain. Unlike most of the offerings, this one has a nice balance between the bubbles and body.

Ordered a sample of all their on tap beers. Of the 8 I received this was one of them.

A - Very clear amber brown so filtered with a 1/2 inch of head. Most of these beers seem to be force carbonated giving it a good amount of foam.
S - Has a decent hop smell nothing over the top or memorable. Slightly sweet smell but not overall malty.
T - I thought it was good it had a memorable hop bite nothing over the top or tongue lashing. Trouble is it was just slightly average.
M - It was smooth light to medium at best. A great IPA very drinkable.

Overall I rate this above average its not to be expected a hop bomb and I have had many unbalanced IPA's. Unfortunately I found their red ale a bit tastier.
