Poured from a bomber into a large snifter.

Appearance - Standard brown bomber bottle. Label is fairly simple with black and white text on a brown background. Small painting of an attractive Marilyn Monroe-esque lady admiring a rather large strawberry. Pours a diffuse medium yellow-amber that looks very inviting. Many yeast particles can be found floating around as I usually slightly agitate the bottle to break up the sediment on the bottom. If you're not a yeast lover like I am, I'm sure it can be avoided. Tall pale meringue-like head tops it off, trapping some of the yeast as I pour (again, this can be avoided). Sticks around for a few minutes, then rapidly settles to a thin layer.

Smell - Very light Belgian-like aroma wrapped in a juicy strawberry-like note. Smells rather sweet and inviting for being so light.

Taste - Strong malt backbone with wheat and yeast which treads the line of being both light and full. Very subdued hop presence. Everything is enveloped by a strawberry note that it at one noticeable without being overpowering. All the major notes work well together, but ultimately it feels like that special harmony is lacking that makes a good beer a great beer.

Mouthfeel - Rather light due to the high carbonation, making it very enjoyable on a hot day. Carbonation also totally masks the ABV, making it very easy to drink entirely too quickly.

Overall- A great treat on a nice warm day when you want something with a little bit of character.

22 oz bottle courtesy of mgbickel pours a lightly hazed gold color with a more than ample white head. Retention is average, as is the lacing.

Nose is berry fruitiness with an underlying stale maltiness that is much sweeter and fuller than most fruit beers.

Tastes much better than it smells, with a nice berry tartness that isnt overly artificial and the malt is full and rich...most fruit beers' body is so light and just gets out of the way. Berry flavor is mostly strawberry jam, but some blueberries and white plums flavors also seem the pervade the beer. This one is substantial...I like it. The mouthfeel is full and sweet - nearing syrupy proportions, but a high carbonation keeps it from being cloying. Id drink this one again, for sure!

Grabbed a glass of this at the Beermuda in Tarrentum for 4 bucks.

A - I expected it to be a lot lighter for a blonde but it actually has some dark tan tint to it with a 1/4 inch of head and excellent lacing.

S - For me the smell is mostly tart raspberries, a touch of wheat, and a great Strawberry aspect.

T - Watery at first but after a few sips the wheat and malt kick in to counter the awesome sweet/tart flavors of these fruits. Not bad.

M - Light and carbonation is bubbly.

Overall I am kind of impressed by this one. The flavors are balanced, light yet satisfying with a good wheat body. Finished the pint rather easy.

I guess you can never make everyone happy with a fruit beer. Too much fruit and it's cloying, yet too little and it's not enough and taste like a beer. This one treads the line pretty well.

Big rocky head. Light amber body with a little haze.

Wheat malts with a very light fruity aroma. Sensing some pleasing bitterness, but no real hop character in the nose. Slightly musky.

Pretty firmly bitter with an irresistible strawberry flavor. A taste of the floral mingling with the sweet berry. Hint of a not-so-pleasing metallic note in the finish.

Sudsy with a light-medium body. Rather drinkable.

Not a bad fruit wheat ale. I could finish this myself, if it wasn't my girlfriend's. Enjoying my share.

Pours a darkish gold color that is pretty clear with a half finger fizzy head which stays around for a while but gives no lacing. The aroma is faint, hints of fresh real strawberry as opposed to articifical. The taste is dominated by a caramel malt backbone with only small hints of strawberry and a slight blueberry present. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and slightly creamy. The overall drinkability is okay, the taste isn't overpowering except for the malt. You could easily drink it because there is nothing to dislike but there are more flavorful beers for the style out there.
