Appearance: Dark yellow golden in color, with a massive, dense, and persistent white head. There is a moderate amount of suspended sediment. The lacing is thick and patchy.
Aroma: Lots of tart wheat and grapefruit rind hops, no banana notes, and only modest cloves.
Taste: Solid wheat malt from start to finish. This is not to be understated, the malt presence is remarkably solid. Cloves are present, but not to the extent expected, there is a banana note, but it is faint. Finishes with tart wheat, some very mild herbal hops, and a late wave of cloves.
Mouth feel: Smooth and solid, very, very full.
Drinkability/notes: A very good, well-crafted example.
Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass long neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a standard Pilsener glass.
Serving type: bottle

Had this on tap at the Syracuse location in Destiny USA. A big, beautiful, 20 ounce glass emblazoned with the word "HEFEWEIZEN" shows up, and delivers. This brew is an excellent example of the style, and went perfectly with the flat steak I ordered.
