Last beer of the three way collaboration between the three DC brewpubs to make an Alt beer. This was the darkest out of the three and my second favorite.
Beer is dark brown and kind of hazy. Forms a big head with minimal lace, carbonation is low.
The aroma of this beer was hands down the best. Strong malt, nice sweetness and flavor. Great spice, very nice.
Beer's flavor lets you down. Its a little flat, boring, mildly sweet, the spiciness is missing. There is some butterscotch / caramel there but not a whole lot of anything unfortunately. Mouthfeel is creamy and simple, not much else going on. There is nothing wrong with this beer just kind of simple and boring.
