First of all this is the best place in town for buying beer, but that isn't really saying much. They a moderately broad selection of micros, although generally lack in some harder to find beers, especially rare beers. Workers there genuinely want to help, although I call their knowledge of breweries across the country into question. The have a singles section, but seem to use it to pump Leinie's beers and isn't really doesn't seem to include some of the more popular breweries or beers that are there. Maybe sour grapes to me, but this place could be better, but acknowledge there may be some distribution issues. Will go there for regular releases, but not for difficult to find beers.

Went to the Hops and Props Beer fest on 3-7 and had a good time but needed a pregame warmup beforehand so our group stopped here because it had been previously reviewed( with a good rating) also, it was right behind the hotel. In with a grocery store but separated, nice selection of craft beers along with Wisconsin local brews. Being from Illinois I am unable to get many local Wisconsin brews,so this was nice. Offering several nice Belgiums and nice bombers. La Fin Du Monde was very reasonable and enjoyed. Store manager was giving a free tasting of several local brews which I sampled but didnt feel they were memorable. Still it was not expected so that was a pleasant surprise. For Oshkosh, this place should be considered.

Festival Foods is a large grocery store. Part of the grocery store is a quasi separate liquor store, which is a decent size. Refrigerated beer lines the walls and the selection is quite vast. While the international selection is limited, the domestic selection is great. It is nice to see a grocery store with this type of selection, as liquor stores have been slowly disappearing in the area. However, what makes this place great is the "make your own six pack" for $7.99. Grab a box and go nuts. Anything that can fit in the six pack seems to be fair game. HINT: The clerks at the checkout in the liquor store peruse your selections (my guess is they are looking for beer that is too expensive to be part of the mix and match, but, I could be wrong). The clerks in the grocery store do not. They check your ID and swipe it through. ADVICE: Do your grocery shopping and beer shopping at the same time to avoid any hassle by the liquor store clerks at the checkout. Please let me know if you experience anything to the contrary. For anyone who enjoys variety, this place will scratch you where you itch.
