Awesome place, a real destination in Oxford, decent selection and food as well. But the atmosphere makes it. The people who work there are great, they make good recommendations as well. The beer selection was good, had a Young's Bitter, which was about the most satisfying ale I've had on draught so far in this country.

Pretty good beer selection (as far as the typical Oxford pub goes; a fair number of Young's beers are on tap), and the rabbit and cider pie was tasty. The inside was crowded, though there was no wait on the tables outside. The staff was friendly. Recommended

Probably the closest pub to the place I lived at in Oxford. Tucked away a few blocks of the main roads. Pretty good typical pub interior. Usually remember it having pretty low lighting, which added pleasantly to the ambiance. Maintains the comfortable atmosphere while still having a god amount of seating. Never recall going and having a hard time finding a place to sit. If I remember correctly, I went there with a few friends once for a weekly trivia challenge they have. There beer and beer selection is pretty good.

I like this pub. Well-lit, nice decor, the woodwork is done well on the inside. You can feel the history in this place. Pretty large, lots of different rooms with tables. A pleasant sit-down kind of place that people go to for formal and informal gatherings all the same. Haven't had the food, but my friend got the sausage and mash and it smelled delicious. Beer selection is better than most in Oxford, but I'm afraid that's not saying much. They advertise for Young's so there's a bunch of those - the Winter Warmer is in right now, along with the bitter, and bottles of double chocolate stout and an ESB brewed exclusively for the King's Arms 400th anniversary. Pretty pricy, especially with the exchange rate - I think the bitter is the cheapest at 2.45 GBP while Guinness is over 3 pounds! Pretty ridiculous..but nonetheless that's Oxford, and this is some of the best you're gonna get.
