Poured from a 12 oz bottle (from Tommyknocker "Trail Mix" variety 6-pack) into a pint glass. This is never my ideal beer, especially with all of the winter seasonal beers out right now.
Pours the hazy dark orange color typical of wheat beers. Light passes through, but it is not transparent. The smell consists of that sour citrusy smell that is also typical of wheat beers, though it seems to be more faint in this one than some I have had.
The taste is just like the smell and the bottle label promises, with a lemon-citrusy flavor. It's not a bad flavor, though it seems to be a little watered down or faint than most wheat beers i have tried. I'm not sure if this is this particular beer, or how this style (American Pale Wheat Ale) is compared to the Hefeweizen style.
Overall, this beer is alright, but nothing special. I definitely won't buy it on its own. However, if this is the weak link in a variety 6-pack, I think I can deal with that.
