Poured a golden brown with no head or lacing.
Not a good sign, as soon as the bottle was opened I smelled stagnant water smells. The smell is primarily that with a faint malt scent.
The flavor is interesting. The lemon grass they use in the brewing is the dominant flavor. There's not much other flavor there except that stagnant water flavor, which is very faint.
To be fair, I generally don't like wheat beers because they all tend to taste a little skunky to me, except wheat/fruit beers like Abita's Purple Haze and Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat. That said, this is probably one of the better tasting wheat beer I've had. I probably won't have another, but it is palatable.
The mouthfeel has a carbonation sting and the lemon grass bitterness leaves a short-lived aftertaste.
This is more drinkable than many wheat beers I've had.
Added the next day: After further review, it appears that skunky smell is from the tap water I used to rinse the soap residue off the glass. I guess I need to install my water filters.
