picked this up a while ago... forgot I had it, time for some winter cleaning of the ole brew cellar...
1 full finger of foam rises up and quickly retreats back into a good coating, lacing is OK with decent bubble character, light brown hue with touches of amber, some carbonation migrating through the brew, pretty much what you would expect.
a toasty malt aroma with definite hints of something sweet underneath, toasted pecans/almonds are a nod here, pretty straightforward but nice.
this is pretty light stuff weight wise, almost too easy to ti[ back, the carbonation seems a touch off, kind of not knowing where it wants to be, the after taste is a bit of a cloying sweetness. The bitterness tries to mask this but does not work 100% in balancing this out. This beer is pretty non offensive, you definitely get the maple throughout, so if that is your thing call up aunt jemima and have a party.
Easy to drink, and easy to forget, not bad by any stretch just nothing that will knock your Tommy off.

Good nut brown color with thin light tan collar, decent lacing. Aroma is maple sweetness, and a nutty-caramel aroma as well. Taste is also nutty, caramel with the maple taking a big presence. Thin body for a brown and low carbonation. Needs a better malt backbone and maybe some more hops both up front and at the end.

I poured this beer into my tumbler at 45 degrees. The beer was a nice amber color. and poured a nice tan head. I was afraid of this one after tasting their imperial nut Brown which I did not like. This I must say is much better in my opinion and actually you can taste the beer and not the high ABV of the imperial. The beer had a nice maple taste and was really good. I will buy this one again.
