A touch of Maple Syrup is added to each barrel of our award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart a roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich, caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable brown ale.

This ain't Chief. I really like the candy cane porter, I feel that was a good job but this flagship absolutely falls flat in comparison to literally any other brown ale I've had. Weaksauce. Also what maple? This is straight up bad dude im astounded this a flagship it doesn't even taste like a brown just looks like one. Bad.

I miss this brew dearly. I used to buy it when I lived in Colorado back in 2010. Haven't been able to find it in Missouri ever since I moved back.

A single I bought, best before November 25th 2019. A forewarning, I am not a fan of their beers from past experiences.

The look is nice. Brown liquid sitting under a head of slightly off white foam. Lacing is above average.

The smell is maple sweet, roasty, definite nutty notes going on.

Maple sweet taste, little nuttiness flavour, leans towards the bland taste wise, body gets thin to watery in the finish. Looks and smells promising but fails to deliver when it really counts. Something that I have said before aboot this brewery's beers so I am not that surprised. One and done.

The pour is dark brown. The aroma is faint roasted malt. The body is medium. The taste is roasted malt, slight coffee & faint maple syrup that linger a little bit towards the finish. The beer could use some more maple syrup. I agree that the beer is a little watery tasting but it's not that bad I have had worst brown ales than this. Cheers! B

Poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-murky dark to muddy brown color with a quickly dissipating finger's worth of white foamy head. Barely any lace.
The aroma had a nice looking roasty nuts, charcoal ash, maple syrup and some dark bready toastiness.
The flavor combined the prior mentioned aromas together semi-sweetly with some toasty dry ashiness. Light aftertaste of roasty nuts, maple syrup and dark breads.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV rang throughout. Nice nutty roasty finish.
Overall, pretty nice brown ale with maple syrup in it. Might be a nice return during Spring or Autumn.
