Never heard of an Imperial Nut Brown before, but it is just a kicked up version of the style. Billed as made with pure maple syrup. I wasn't sure if it would be too sweet.
Poured from the bottle with a tiny head. Not too strong of a smell. Deep cherry brown in color.
I was impressed with the first sip. Stronger than I thought, less sweet. The 9% ABV is clearly there. I get very mild maple flavor, maybe more of a dried fruitiness.
Reminds me of a barley wine, or in that class. Limited hoppiness. A little bit perhaps in the aftertaste.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Like any imperial type, a sipping beer. Probably good with some cheese and fruit as opposed to dinner.

Ruby brown in color with good light tan head, good lacing, and a thick collar. Aroma is dark molasses, nutty and earthy. Taste follows pretty much identically. Mild hop bitterness in this one. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Definitely my favorite of the three beers I had at the brewery.
