Pours out amber brown and sits deep crimson-brown with a small, creamy tan head. Fades to a light skim, few lacings.
Smells rich and roasty, with hunks of gooey caramel. Raisins, figs and apples lie over a charred blanked of oak. Mild fusels push through, light, spicy hops nearby.
Tastes sweet up front, caramel and chocolate up front. Wooden tones throughout with rich raisiny tones. Alcoholic warmth and spice hits on all levels. Finish is moderately bitter, lingering sweetness and the ever gaining alcoholic glow.
Smooth, rich and creamy in the mouth with ultra-fine carbonation in a full body. Bountiously full body, a dream to pass through.
It is fine, fine fine. Maybe a bit one sided, but a strong hit.

Ruby brown in color with good light tan head, good lacing, and a thick collar. Aroma is dark molasses, nutty and earthy. Taste follows pretty much identically. Mild hop bitterness in this one. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Definitely my favorite of the three beers I had at the brewery.
