Enjoyed at Snug in Denver.

A: Pours a clear amber/reddish color. A minimal white head forms with little retention. Very light lace.
S: Sweet malts, grain, and a light hoppy finish.
T: Follows the nose. Sweet caramel malt is dominate. Slightly grainy. Diacetyl is a little to noticeable.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. Easy to drink. I could drink several in a sitting.

An easy to drink simple beer made for Snug in Denver. This is a good standby at a bar that does not have a lot of selection.

Much like 5 Lamps Lager, this is a Tommyknocker brew that is brewed for on premises taps at Slattery's and the Irish Snug in Denver. This one was served at Slattery's in the DTC.
Arrives a pretty normal reddish copper color with a little head, but not too much.
Not much of a nose beyond a bit of malty sweetness.
The flavor profile is as expected. Relatively malty and straight ahead with a little bit of hops to keep everything in order, but not to influence the flavor too much. The yeast gives it a tiny bit of fruitiness, but not much. I get the feeling this is targeted at the Fat Tire/Avalanche crowd, which is probably pretty smart.
Mouthfeel is thin by design as this is clearly a session ale...and it succeeds as one. There isn't much to think about here, just a moderately sweet red ale.

While I really enjoyed the 5 Lamps, this one is merely okay. Still, it's priced the same as normal macros and it's much better than they are.
