The beer pours a reddish color with a thick frothy white head that fades to lacing. It looks almost like a red wine. The aroma is average. It has a dry, pale malt scent that is mixed with a light berry aroma. The taste is decent. It has a light, pale amlt flavor that goes down easy and finishes slightly tart from mixed berrries. It is weak and watery; not that flavorful. The mouthfeel is good. It is a low/medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an easy drinker for the summer crowd especially the ladies, but it's a weak fruit offering.

not one of the better fruit beers out there, this blueberry colored ale has virtually no head at all, and is a major letdown for me. it smells fruity enough, like the better parts of fresh jam, and of acidic juice from concentrate. I do not smell grain or hops that would identify this as a beer though, and that's a problem. the taste is also very fruity, but much less fresh, much less interesting, and much less enjoyable. there is a funny metallic taste too, and the grains are there, but feeling sort of stale and afterthoughty. the beer also has no carbonation at all, which in a brew that is supposed to be a summer session post hike refresher, is a major issue. fuller body too doesn't help, and overall just a very unimpressive summer seasonal. the idea of mixing berries into beer really entices me, and I wanted so badly for this to be good, but it really is one to avoid when you roll into Idaho springs.

Well this beer smells like a piece of fruits sweaty ass. Unfortunately, the flavor profile isn't too far away from that. This is a complete waste of time and I find pretty much no aspect of it redeeming, interesting, or worth the time or money. Avoid.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into Stella Artois "chalice."

Appearance: Pours a nice cloudy brown/red hue with a one-finger white and bubbly head, although it quickly dissipates.

Smell: Weird, not very good at all. KInd of wheaty, but very vegetal. Like spoiled vegetables. And there is a definite prune smell. Not very good at all.

Taste: Fruity; I taste wheat, and a definite taste of raspberry/blackberry. But it tastes artificial, and not so good.

Mouthfeel: Average. Thin, easy to drink, mild carbonation.

Overall: An ok beer I guess, definitely below average.
