On-Tap at Bunny's Bar & Grill

Appearance - Dark copper/rust color with a clear and clean look.

Smell - I'm picking up yeasts, malts, and a slight cider scent oddly enough. It's simple but nice

Taste - Yeasts, malts, cider and a slight hoppy taste. Finishes quite dry with only a slight hoppy bitter taste

Mouthfeel - Light bodied with just a slight carbonated kick. Very crisp!

Overall - It's a good tasting beer that finishes really well with pretty much any meal, especially a burger!

A- Pours a copper color, almost red, with a two finger off-white head. Good retention and some lacing.
S- The aroma is bready, a touch toasty. There is a fair amount of herbal hop aromas as well.
T- There is a fair amount of herbal flavor up front, but the maltyness balances it out with a lightly toasted bread flavor and a touch of toffee.
M- Body is quite light. Carbonation is smooth, maybe a bit undercarbed. The flavors are long in the aftertaste.
O- A good beer that has a fair amount of flavor, and is super easy drinking.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep and clear copper orange with lots of rising bubbles. Huge six finger off white foam head with good retention. Leaves lots of lacing around the glass.

Smell: A bready malt forward aroma with lots of wheat grains, biscuit, caramel, and toffee. Also a pretty noticeable grassy smell from some earthy hops. Very subtle hints of citrus. Smells a lot like dry bread.

Taste: Like the aroma leads, a very bready tasting brew. Sweet malts with big notes of biscuit and wheat grains. Some caramel and toffee. A light hint of citrus orange. There's a pretty big hop presence considering the style. Good amount of herbal, grassy hops. Pretty well balanced.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Creamy and somewhat chewy. Finishes fairly dry.

Overall: A pretty good take on the Cali Common style. Nice bready flavors with a good balancing hop presence.

Appearance is copper with a light tan head, dense, leaving foamy lace.

Smell is weird, a little aspirin like, hint of sourness, like sour mash. Hop compost?

Taste is interesting, definitely a big leafy hop flavor, some caramel from the malt, bitter sweet. The leafy hops could use cut back to let the malt poke through better.

Mouthfeel is smooth, on the dry side, medium light bodied.

Drinkability is okay, the leafy vegetable qualities of the hops just didn't work here for me. Lacking the nuance of a steam beer, I'd have never guessed by the taste.

First California Common Beer so, take this with a grain of salt.

A: Medium brown colour with highlights of gold. Quick dissipating head with no lacing.

S: Caramel, toffee, roasted and sweet malty smells. Maybe a slight bit of hops behind there as well.

T: Some burnt, toasted, earthy flavours in the malts. The beer is really smooth flavoured, but has a bitter taste at the end.

M/D: A bit syrupy but with a decent amount of carbonation. It coats your mouth as well. It took me a while to get the bomber down... maybe I was just not in the mood...

Copper colored brew, decent sized cream colored head. Kind of surprisingly the hops dominate the nose, bitter variety. Nice sweet malts too. Same kind of thing for the taste, hoppy to the point of being somewhat surprising. I've only had a couple to a handful of this kind of style, so im not sure if it has a "normal" profile or not. Really the only steam that i am really familiar with is of course anchor's, and this seems to be a bigger beer than that. Most malts and for sure more hops. Medium bodied, somewhat creamy mouth. Tastey brew, I've been hearing murmurs about this flat earth and will for sure dive deeper into their line.

A: Light orange/amber with a thick off white head. Very good clarity. Not much for lacing

S: Earthy and dry bread malts. Hints of carmel and an odd medicinal scent that might be from the hops.

T: Clean and smooth. Biscuit malts, cereal grains, a touch of floral hops, hints of lemon and apricots. Finishes with a drier bread malt Flavor. Pretty basic flavors, but its good and flavorful.

M/D: Medium to thin body. Carbonation is a little on the lighter side. Very easy drinking. A bomber... no problem.

Haven't had much of this style before so its hard to compare this to any other commons.

On tap into a pint.

A: a very clear slightly lighter than amber with a sticky quarter inch white head. Nice lacing.

S: the smell is kind of weird. Kind of like wet grains.

T: thankfully it tastes way better than it smells. Starts with a hit of sweet and some pretty intense breadiness that stays throughout. Then it finishes with a nice hop kick that's pretty herbal and compliments the breadiness nicely.

M: fairly light but sticks around in the mouh for a moment, which is nice.

D: pretty high. Tasty, refreshing, low abv.

O: a solid offering from flat earth. I feel like this beer is pretty underrated.

Pristine, light orange with a quarter-inch, creamy white head that remains.
Smell is slightly spicey malts, with some faint clove, ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Taste is spicey malts, with some hops following. Clove, cinnamon, and brown sugar come in as well. Finish is malty and slightly bitter.
Mouthfeel is crisp, with a nice, bitter bite halfway through. Medium-light body, with a nice, crisp finish.
Drinkability is very good. Given the style this beer falls under, I was a bit apprehensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. A very good "session" beer, in my opinion.

First off the home brewer in me really appreciates the ingredient list, OG, SRM, IBU, and ABV on the bottle. I like to see what goes in and obviously they leave out a lot of their process, but it gives me some insight into the resulting output of the ingredients. Also looks like the label has changed vs the picture posted.

A- Poured out of the deuce deuce 1Pint 6 FL oz. Flat Earth bottle into a standard pint glass. A nice copper orange hue, carbonation rising through glass. Good 2 fingers of head, quickly diminishes down to a light cap with solid lacing on the glass.

S- Definitely get some light nice hop aroma. Lemon grass, fresh citrusy grapefruit zest.

T- Up front is significant grapefruit, mild banana cream, sweet caramel malt balances nicely. A bit of plum and raisin in its depth.

M- Has a nice grassy earthy texture on the finish, sits nicely on the back of tongue and has a good bitterness. Slight acidity and sharp on the front. Medium with a nice chewy bite.

D- Very good drinkable beer, tough to not compare this beer to Anchor Steam...as the notorious option in the style. Good everyday type of beer, solid core of malt, fresh and bitter with the hops, session-able @ 5.5%.

Thanks to morimech for this!
22 oz bottle:

Pours copper with a thin white head that stays. Trailing, slowly vanishing, lace stays.

The smell is bready, with caramel, sour, with an herbal, metallic undertone.

The taste is tangy at first. Caramel grows as it progresses. It leans towards sour, with a rusty, metallic finish. As it progresses, it becomes more balanced and the various flavors come together more neatly, with caramel maltiness bringing things together. Finishes sweet, sour, bitter.

The feel is light-to-medium, with smoothness and a lasting aftertaste.

According to label - American pale, Victory, Crystal and wheat malts. Cluster, Mt. Hood and Northern Brewer hops. An odd brew. Mixed feelings, though I "like" more than "dislike" as a whole... seems over-hopped...which is odd in itself, coming from me - or just hopped in a "different" direction than I would like. The sourness is a bit much... I'll put this in the "interesting" category...

Element 115 Lager is a decent Steam beer. It pours light copper in color with a wisp head, which, surprisingly, stayed around throughout.

The aroma has bread and fruit notes with a hint of hops. More of the same in the flavor, but it goes down smooth and enjoyable. The finish is bitter and the bitterness stays around after the beer is gone.

This is a balanced drinkable beer. Not overly complex, but I enjoyed it.

22 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear copper with several fingers of dirty off-white foamy head. This sticks around with a nice frothy look to both the retention and lacing. The aroma is mostly sweet with bread and a fairly deep fruitiness that gives this a hefty tang in the nose. Touch of spice and floral hops float along the back.

That tangy feel carries over to the front of the taste, with bread and fruit taking control, while some light drying hops finishes this out with a steady lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a smooth crispness to it that gets more smooth and creamy feeling the mouth the more I work on it.

Plenty of flavor (lot of fruitiness from the Ale yeast here) and smooth drinkibility made for a fine quaff. Maybe a bit more balancing hop action would have been welcome but overall this is a decent example of a Steam Beer from Flat Earth.
