This is my go-to store now on my side of town. Maple Grove area gets raked over by distributors and boundary politics so this has forced me into an area that obtains a lot more variety. This store is great, they have about a 1/4 of the store dedicated to beers, lots on rack and in coolers. You can find everything from 10oz specialty single bottles to big magnums and everything in-between. They get many high demand beers that get brought to the state and if you talke to John-Michael, he is the resident beer expert. I try to talk to him every time i stop in. He has also hooked me up with brews that either haven't made it out of the cooler in back yet or the ones that there are so few of, they dont make space for on the floor - you have to ask. Overall, pricing is reasonable and no higher or lower than most other retailers.
I have been and will continue to be a multiple repeat customer to this location, i've had nothing but great experiences with this retailer.

I come here once a month while I am working in the area. The beer selection is good but is really an afterthought at this place, as it is crammed into a really tight spot. Do yourself a favor and watch for the bottling dates here, they have a big issue with selling out of date beer. If it doesn't have a date, don't buy it, unless it is style that does well with age. I have found many brands here that have been out of date. I just saw Overrated here that was bottled in early July and Victory Prima Pils that was a month past due as well as Eliot Ness that was off by 5 weeks. Overall I like the place but they need to make sure they aren't selling out of date beer.

I have worked near this place for years and never thought twice about going in. I thought it was just another wine shop and who needs that? After getting into craft beer I stopped in and was like a kid in Disney World, there was just so much to take in I was overwhelmed.
I made a second trip in recently after a month's time and this time around I had my wits about me. They have a large selection of craft beer on wire shelves and in coolers. At the end of the craft beer aisle and a half is shelf dedicated to limited releases from around the world. Needless to say I was giddy but managed to stay within a reasonable total.
Haskell's tends to be competitive on some things and a tad pricey on their imports or special items, but do have regular sales as well. Their service seems to be a bit more towards wine centric but that's to be expected when most of their product/sales volume is wine.
All and all this is my go to place now for the various and sundry wants and needs. Definitely worth the stop if you are the area.

Haskell's International Wine Room is obviously a wine oriented store first and foremost. So if you are looking for some high end Chateauneuf Du Pape or Vintage Port this is the place you want to go. In addition to wine they also have a very strong beer selection. I wouldn't go as far as calling it an elite selection, but it is far better than most retailers in the Twin Cities. They have a solid Belgian selection which includes a wide variety of sours. They also have a large selection of big bottles (750ml, 22oz) some of which are on the warm shelf, but a lot of which are in the cooler. They also have a respectable cold make-your-own six pack selection priced at $8.99. The layout is very congested with boxes of wine and beer laying all over the place, but I kind of got the feeling the might be remodeling. Prices were some of the best I've seen in the Twin Cities for both beer and wine. Overall, I'll be back. I can't pass up good selection, and great prices.
