This funky and venerable North KC institution with the quirky/honest name is at a number of Crossroads. Off I35 and MO 210 just North of the River it is convenient to Casino's (Harrah's, Ameristar, others) and serves a mix of clientle- from nearby Cerner professionals to area warehouse and factory folks.

The old brick building is well worn. If you enter from the rear parking lot you see a Men's room, a Ladies room and in between a 'generic' one-seater is up for grabs! Kinda different. The 'L' shaped bar is surrounded by tables with folks of all ages and beer tastes.

To the beer: 12 taps that included Franziskaner Wheat, 312 Goose, BLVD Wheat (a KC theme here) Sam Adams Winter Lager, Pilsner Urquell and AB's Bourbon Cask (@$3 pint) brew plus the usual macros.

A visicooler held The full Boulevard offering plus some New Belgium, Bridgeport ESB and some basic British & Irish cans and bottles along with the bland masters.

This beer line up is actually not bad for KC standards! Here is a place where the macro drinkers- and there are many getting buckets of bottles, have the chance to sample something a little past their comfort zone. Here is a place to advocate that folks try a new beer and learn what is different about it.

The bar has table games like scrabble, checkers, chess and Risk along with a copy of the Guinness book of world records. Positive signs of intelligent life, perhaps.

There is a small stage area and a number of games- electric Darts, 2 pool tables and Golden Tee, for example.

Food looks like basic pub- appetizers and sandwiches, though I did not partake of solids.

Not a must stop KC Beer place but place to remember if you end up North of the Missouri River. Lord knows there are not enough such stops in the vicinity.
