Draft @ TND -
Appears a dense, dark mocha black with a fluffy tan head that slowly fades into a pillory cap. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of intense bakers cocoa, French truffles, Italian espresso, turbinado sugar, and a touch of ripe fruit with an earthy bitterness. Insanely complex.
Taste is of the aromas with a flow of toasted nuts and chocolate truffles combining in a superior beverage that is fit for outworldly dominance.
Mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, warming, and full of sheer love. I can honestly say that drinking this beer is an escape and a truly refreshing slice of heaven...or Valhalla.
Excellent beer by the Norweigens.

Batch 349 (2011 bottle?), opened in 2013.
A - Straight black body with no highlights; one of the darkest beers I've seen. Dark milk chocolate head settles into a medium halo. Low lace.
S - Cocoa powder, brown sugar, dark fruits, light balsamic vinegar, chocolate cookies.
T - Very sweet; caramel, light brown sugar, chocolate cookies, touch of booze, pumpernickel bread, burnt toast. Nice integration.
M - Thick, full body, low carbonation. About spot on for an RIS.
O - A little too sweet for the style, but otherwise well crafted.
