So after reading about the Indy store I figured I would give it a shot. I went in to the bar side and sat down. I looked on the walls and saw some Dogfish Head and Anchor tackers. This looks to be a good start. My waitress walked up..I asked for a Dogfish Head. They don't serve them any more. Asked for an Anchor. Was told they didn't serve them any more. I asked her if they served any micros then. Blank stare. Luckly someone opened their cooler door and I noticed a Bell's poster stuck on the door. Asked for Bell's. Bingo. Two Hearted was I think the only Micro they had besides maybe Magic Hat #9. I was kind of sad about this. The food was good and so was my Two Hearted but...why are you going to have tackers up of beers you don't even carry??

Stopped here on 3/1/08 after work to get some wings. Overall, this would be one of the better places to go out with the guys and watch a game while eating and drinking. They have a ton of tv's hanging around everywhere and the one downfall is that the place is a bit loud. However, it is also pretty big so there was no wait even on a saturday night. The bar area is enclosed since you can smoke in there but not the restaurant. This is nice if you don't like to smoke because you can stay out of the fog in the bar area. The beer selection was pretty good especially for a chain restaurant. They had the usual BMCs, Smithwicks's some kinda draft cider, Stella, and then they had a few good choices as well such as Edmund Fitz Porter, Bell's 2 Hearted and Mishawaka Brewing Co Irish Ale all on tap. Didn't really look at the bottle selection. The waitress had no idea about the beer selection but at least they did give them a little piece of paper with everything that they had which she showed me. I thought this at least made up a little bit for the complete lack of knowledge on her part. Overall, I'd say BW3 would a place that I would recommend meeting non BAs for some food and drink and to watch some sports. This way you can get the normal grub, your friends can drink whatever swill they want and you still have the chance to try at least 3 or 4 good beers on tap. Also, it was 4 bucks for the pint of 2 hearted which I didn't think was too bad for a restaurant.

This is hands-down the best place to watch a game on TV in the South Bend / Mishawaka / Notre Dame area. Tons of huge new projection TVs and lots of little TVs scattered all around. It's still just a BW3 though, so you know what to expect as far as atmosphere, food, and service. Then comes the beer selection, which is quite surprising. Don't expect the waitresses to know anything about your beer. During the last UNC/Duke game I was sitting in the non-smoking restaurant side, so I had to order my beer through the waitress instead of the bartender. I had to repeat "Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout" about three times, and she still wasn't sure if they had it. Luckily, they did... as well as some nice offerings from Great Lakes, Bells, and Dogfish head. Probably the best on-tap selection in the area (although a few other places have better bottle selections).

Normally, i'd be wary of a buffalo wild wings as a place to go for good beer (except the one in downtown indianapolis, which is clearly out of the box). However, having been to this place twice and sampling such beers as Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Great Lakes Burning River and Dark Horse Blueberry Stout, i have to say that the Bdubs makes the grade. The place is split into two parts, a sit-down restaurant and the bar area. The latter is the only part i've been in because that's where the beer is. Anyway, its kind of a regular old sports bar place with lots of TVs and lots of ads about how you should eat their wings. In contrast to other Bdubs though, the 15-20 taps they have are full of good to even halfway great beer. In addition to the ones above, they've had Dogfish Head (60 min and Shelter Pale), Elliot Ness, Upland Dragonfly, Bells Amber and Lager and in bottles i've seen things from Dark Horse, Arcadia, 3 Floyds, Nine G (now defunct, of course), Bell's, and Flying Dog. Not too shabby. I like the wings here too so thats a plus. Happy its around and its one of those "signs of good things to come" in terms of a better beer scene in what are otherwise "regular" places.
