12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper amber with a medium frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet bready malts, some fruit and grassy hops.

The flavor is sweet bready caramel malts with a lot of grassy hop bitterness and a little fruit. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.

Overall, an ok IPA. Don't care for the flavors - bready caramel malts with lots of grassy hops.

12 ounce bottle

Pours typical almond amber, under a light khaki head. leaves moderate fine lace.

Hops on the nose, grainy and some pine.

Moderate hop punch, again with notes of pine and resin

Medium bodied and carbonation on point.

Respectable, but not outstanding IPA

Faint pine and light biscuit nose. Pours gold with a slight haze with a 1” yellow tinted foam cap that produces light lace. Has a light fruit palate over grain that leads to a citrusy, resiny hop finish. Effervescent, medium light body, fairly dry.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass. Bottled on December 18th, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About two fingers of white head which slowly fade into a thin creamy layer. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

Smell: An earthy and grassy hoppy aroma with good hints of grass, pine, and caramel malt. Earthy, floral, and herbal hops with upfront hints of wet grass and spicy pine resin. Citrus hop presence with hints of orange peel, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, and pineapple. Bready malt backing with hints of caramel, biscuit, grains, cracker, and yeast. A solid earthy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, an earthy and crisp hoppy taste with good notes of grass, pine, and caramel malt. Upfront taste of earthy hops with floral notes. Notes of damp grass and pine resin spice. Citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, lemon zest, pineapple, and tangerine. Backing presence of pale malt with notes of biscuit, sweet caramel, grains, yeast, and cracker. A pretty solid earthy IPA taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy and somewhat oily feel. Finishes dry and smooth.

Overall: A solid East Coast style take on an IPA. Very grassy with a solid malt backing.

From a 12oz bottle

Unusual IPA in that the aroma is light and about as malty as it is hoppy, yet the flavor is quite hop dominated. Lingering bitter and hoppy aftertaste.

Pretty much epitomizing amber, this beer is a totally clear pale-medium orange with a bright gold flare at the edges. The head, just off-white, is creamy and resides firmly at half a finger's height. Retention is good, and the foam that caps the beer for the remainder of the session drops creamy spotting with some thin webbing at parts.
The smell is mostly hops but, to a point, a little nondescript and leaning somewhat light. It's C-hops all the way with a somewhat dry, pithy note and some raw green stem, balanced by caramel and breads.
The taste brings the greenery and pith with a hit of pine resin in the middle, finishing with a bit of a cardboard flavor at the end. At first, the malts give a note of honey-drizzled biscuits, but it doesn't take much time for that note to fall off.
It's crisp in a medium body that thins out a touch at the end, though it has a soft creaminess all the way through. It goes a hint metallic on the palate as well. Otherwise, the soft and constant crisp and smooth feels balance well.

Clear golden orange. Extremely clear that is... Head is white, small, and lacing forms some nice sheety patches on the glass. Aroma is very clean....light tangerine citrus hops, faint tropical fruit, zesty floral, and some buttery cornbread malt. Interesting. Aromas come through a little staggered to me though not unpleasantly so. Taste is lightly sweet and bitter. Dark piney kind of hop flavor but really hops are mostly bittering. Lacking flavor hops. White bread maltiness, again all is very clean. Mouthfeel is very slightly syrupy, slick, dry, a touch chalky. Overall this is not a bad beer. More of a pale ale than an IPA. Could use some fine tuning maybe but I would try it again. This bottle seems particularly fresh to me too.

Great DIvide's entry into the "session IPA" sweepstakes proves to be a winner! Pours a semi-cloudy amber, with a nice head of white suds. Gorgeous, detailed lacing.

Nose is crisp citrus hops. A great beginning!

Taste is a wonderful blend of thick and chewy tropical and citrus hops. I get orange, mango, pineapple, and grapefruit in the mix. Absolutely a treat and one I'll be looking for again.
