Pours into a pint glass with a 2 finger pearl white head that leaves intricate lacing all the way down the glass. Titan is a copper hue that looks magnificent. The aroma is complex and intriguing, i have to say its not a typical IPA smell though this is not a typical IPA. The smell is somewhat like a grapefruit with brown sugar on it, a citrusy hop smell with a sweet malt backbone...really fantastic. The mouthfeel is somehow creamy and smooth with light carbonation which is weird considering how hoppy and bitter it is. The taste is initially slightly hoppy followed by a mild and bready malt flavor and then WHAM! the hops hit and its a wallop. The hops flavor is really complex and could be analyzed for hours but i detect grapefruit, perhaps lemon and a floral grass type of flavor that really grounds the beer for the bitter, dry finish that leaves you jonesing for more hops. Truly a fantastic IPA, easily one of the best available in NC (along with the hoppy hour and big boss). The alcohol is discernable but i have to say no more than any other descent IPA which is surprising given the high alcohol content of this beer. In a word Fantastic

Pours light copper color with a thin, foamy head. Strong citrus smell. Very fruity, citrus taste with a strong hoppy aftertaste almost piney, but seems tart with a dry taste. Bitterness prevails long after drinking. Good, but not my favorite IPA. Would drink when available. It is just a little too tart for me to go to every time.
